About the Author

I was a mechanical and environmental engineer in China before coming to UCLA for my graduate study in environmental health sciences in 1992. In the last 16 years, I have worked as engineer, information system specialist, entrepreneur, consultant, and researcher in different fields. Now I am an independent sports researcher concentrating in Three-Finger Zen techniques.

Basketball for me is not only a sport, but also a passion. Throughout my basketball endeavor, I played the sport in unconventional style for pure self-enjoyment. By applying my academic knowledge in creative basketball practice, without being coached, I found Three-Finger Zen in 2010. It is also called Universal Ball-Handling Mechanism, a natural mechanism of human hand and arm for handling a round ball.

Three-Finger Zen has significant technical advantages over the conventional basketball skills, and therefore can bring a basketball revolution. In the book, I reveal all the technical details, training methods, and theories and praxes of Three-Finger Zen to the basketball world.
