Disappointed,
By
This review is from: Three Kingdoms: Russian Folk Tales from Alexander Afanasievs Collection (Hardcover)
I was born in RUssia and loved Russian fairytales. I was looking forward to sharing these stories with my girls. However, the transaltion is very poor. THere are lots of words that even I do not know, let alone a 3yo child. Also, not a lot of illustrations and they are in a very unique style. Kind of a typical russian style, but i do not think they appeal to my girls at all. Overall, i expected more.
