i loved this take on the three little pigs and there is a girl pig to make it interesting . i love how they describe the products the pigs used to make there houses tumbleweed , saguaros sticks, adobe bricks.very cool my grandchildren howled along with the coyote. it is a must have in your collection.

This book is a wonderful re-telling of the "Three Little Pigs" fairy tale, using javelinas and a coyote, native to the Southwest. I have given this book to my grandchildren and to many other children, and they all love it, regardless of where they live. I think they learn a little bit about the Southwest too, from the information contained in the book, but the main thing is that the story itself is familiar and delightful, and the illustrations are marvelous. I recommend it highly.

We have a ton of southwest-themed books for our daughters, and this was a great one to add to the shelf. It includes a lot of references to our Sonoran Desert, which we love!
