Altered story,
By Melly (OK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Three Little Pigs (Flip-Up Fairy Tales) (Paperback)
My 2 year old daughter likes this book, but the story is altered and doesn't include my favorite lines like "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!" (what the wolf says to the pig). Bummer.

Our two-year-old grandson already knows this story, but he really likes that this one is a flip-up version! He can't wait to turn each page!

Bid Bad Wolf,

This review is from: Three Little Pigs (Flip-Up Fairy Tales) (Paperback)
Children absolutely love this book from all the series on fairy tales.
When I take all the books out the first thing they say is Big Bad Wolf, as they want me to read them this story in particular.

Can we read it again?,
This review is from: Three Little Pigs (Flip-Up Fairy Tales) (Paperback)
This is my 3.5 yr old daughter's new favorite book. We've read it every night for the last two weeks at her request.
The illustrations are quite nice and the story flows in a readable and entertaining way. Each page has a 'lift-the-flap' that either foreshadows what is to come or shows an event sequence described on the page. The book also includes an audio CD of the story. I think the book is fine w/out the CD, but I suppose it might be nice when I just can't bare to read it one more time. I would definitely recommend this book for 1 to 5 yr olds and their parents/caregivers.

I love this edition of the Three Little Pigs. The flaps keep the kids interested in how the story is progressing and they love to see the wolf hiding throughout the book to spy on the pigs. A very good story. We rarely use the CD, but it is good as well. We also have The Gingerbread Man in this same format and it is classic. Both are true favorites of my pre-K kids.
