Book Description

“Belly twisting laughs aplenty in this black-as-night comedy romp.” Ronald Chipper

“A thriller, a satire and a laugh-out-loud comedy. A great book.” Mark, Leicestershire

“A real cracker. Makes you giggle like Jerome K Jerome, clearly an influence.” Sean, Dublin.

In Three Men on a Bender, with cruel sardonic wit Patrick Rossi recounts the story of cuckold Marco, morally superior and short-tempered natural leader Bradi, and himself as they witness a murder whilst on vacation in Ireland. In a series of drunken mishaps, Italy’s finest young stallions are enlisted by the killers themselves to hunt down the witnesses to the murder, becoming embroiled in an ever-deepening game of deceit. Yet it is only a matter of time before the sticky situation they find themselves in, alleviated only sporadically by the appearance of the beautiful Maylea, results in an even stickier outcome for the intrepid travelers in this hilarious story told with a unique brand of self-deprecating humor and sharp observation of man’s follies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hysterical! February 11, 2014
By Leeloo
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is hysterical and impossible to put down, I was hooked from the first page! Patrick Rossi takes you on a journey like no other: a blend of male camaraderie which reflects Jack Kerouac's 'The Road' and gangster saga as seen in the movie 'Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels'. Rossi writes in a very visual way, you not only experience the trials & tribulations of the three protagonists through the author's eyes but also through the eyes of said protagonists. This book is written to be adapted to the big screen! I look forward to this author's next instalment, hopefully another Patrick, Marco & Bradi journey?

5.0 out of 5 stars A good comedy February 10, 2014
By Saverio
Format:Kindle Edition
I enjoyed this cheeky, ironic and humorous book that plays with stereotypes to build up a real predicament for its young Italian protagonists who bite off far more than they can chew on the Emerald Isle. An inventive comedy thriller.

5.0 out of 5 stars comedy thriller February 10, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
A great book to read if you are feeling down, I really didn’t expect the ending, but this is a cheery comedy that is full of surprises. Hats off to Patrick Rossi.

4.0 out of 5 stars My favorite Italian wriiter July 6, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Okay so the book could use some editing, but the author's voice is excellent and funny. I blew through the story in two days. The only point that disappointed me was the very end, where I wanted to know what happened, but it sort of felt cut off at that point. Certainly worth a read for anyone who likes quirky, funny stories.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's NOT a 'comedy' September 4, 2014
By Bevan
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book included the word 'comedy' in the title, so I naively thought that it would be funny. It was so un-funny, I checked a dictionary definition of 'comedy' and it was: "A dramatic work that is light and often humorous or satirical in tone...." That does not describe ANY aspect of this book. A more apt description would be: "perplexing silly."
Even though I resorted to skimming extended tracts to get to the end - it was obviously peppered with grammatical errors .... perhaps THAT was supposed to be the 'comedy' aspect?
It's just too silly to persevere with.....
Well why ***? Well: writing is hard work so *** for effort!
