Three Mountains has been a long time coming, but wow! It's more than worth the wait. This is the result of Doug 'dUg' Pinnick, Jeff Ament, and Richard Stuverud holing themselves up in Ament's Montana studio to craft some truly beautiful, engaging material that dares to redefine the concept of modern rock. From the opening stomp of 'My Baby' to the sparse beauty of 'In The Middle' to the funkified blues power of 'She's My New Song', these cats draw on their influences to create a new and exciting sound that is clearly the sum of its parts but also lights the path to a bold new direction.

dUg Pinnick is arguably the finest vocalist in rock 'n' roll, and delivers performances that rival his best work in King's X [XV ; Gretchen Goes to Nebraska] and beyond [Strum Sum Up ; Mob]. Anything with dUg Pinnick is going to be good.
And this is no different. Except it is. It's dUg and Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament and Richard Stuverud. And they're making some hard rocking music that's POWERFUL!

Listen to it and you'll know what I mean.

here is the album that Jeff Ament and Dug Pinnick have been planning to put out for years. With Jeff and Mike McKready of Pearl Jam, and DUG PINNICK of legend influential heavy funk rockers KING'S X on vocals this is a very fine impressive special album. With a groovy heavy classic blues rock sound, it is fresh and unique and a very impressive side project indeed.
