An excellent, swashbuckling masterpiece!!! Kamen is great!!!, April 11, 1999
This review is from: The Three Musketeers: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
For any fan of this delightful film or the wonderful Micheal Kamen , this should appeal to all your senses . I am big fan of film scores , have been since I was born and When this movie came out , I had to have the soundtrack , if for nothing else than the ballad " All For Love " , by Sting , Bryan Adams , And Rod Stewart . Sure , they were going for the same kind of goal that "Everything I Do", achieved , and while it can't compre to that lovely song , it has just the thing an unabashed romantic could ask for . Yet, even if the song does not float your boat , than the score itself should please anyone in search of a distinctive , swashbuckling sound . Kamen gives the score , nearly every song , it's own individuality , the perfect backdrop to the moment in the film , or just on it's own , it's terrific ! Bottom line : If you liked the movie , you'll love the soundtrack ; If you didn't , you'll still love it . Kamen At His Best!!!

I loved the movie and the music goes with it so well!!!! A good swordfight just isn't the same without great music. Ex. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, The Princess Bride, Star Wars, etc. I also love Bryan Adams' love songs!!!

The Art of Wenching, June 5, 2006
This review is from: The Three Musketeers: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
A word of caution this album has one actual "song" which is the amazing ballad featuring Sting, Rod Stewart and Bryon Adams. Though the other tracks are songs they are instrumentals that are actually in the movie. Though don't let that turn you aside as they are all well done and each offer a wide variety of different musical emotions. Many of the tracks start off slow and quiet and then eventually become adventurious or more epic. 'M' Lady DeWinter' and 'All For One' being my personal favourite tracks. This is worth a listen especially seeing how I got it for $4.50 new still in original wrapping.
