Take Back and Revel in Your Authentic Power!,

This review is from: The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination (Hardcover)
What Robert Moss offers us through his book, "The Three Only Things" are keys to an ancient way of living our power and truth that have been disregarded by our culture for too long. You'll find here that the mostly unknown stories behind great men and women like Joan of Arc, Leonardo DaVinci, Abe Lincoln, Winston Churchill, Harriet Tubman, Albert Einstein, Wolfgang Pauli, Architect Frank Gehry, Carl Jung and many more, point the way to these "Three Only Things" and how they inspired, informed and guided their success. The book's numerous examples through history, ancient and modern, help us to understand that many of the treasures of political and social leadership, science, literature, arts, and technology have been powered by dreams, coincidence and imagination. Best of all, we have access to that same source of information and guidance in our lives, and this is what is demonstrated so simply and beautifully in this book.
There is example upon example of the power of these `Three Only Things' in the daily lives of ordinary people who have taken the time to observe, record and consider their own everyday dreams and oracles. You'll find many simple processes, games and suggestions for how to develop these skills for yourself. The stories are both inspiring and thrilling when you realize the possibilities we have for our own lives in the way of guidance, healing and creativity. I imagine many will also find the section on "Missing the Dream Dimensions Of Islam" to be eye-opening and instructive. For me it points out how much we "Don't Know" about the dreams, motivations and passions of our neighbors around the world and asks the question, "Why haven't we taken the time to find out?" Robert Moss's numerous books on dreams and his signature techniques of "Active Dreaming" offer us powerful ways to cross the bridge of ignorance and confusion to a real gathering place of dreamers and imaginauts where we can understand much more about our world, it's future and how we can ensure it remains a sparkling treasure. I encourage you to begin walking your path to truth, personal power and beauty by dipping your toes into this incredible resource for your life. "The Three Only Things" is a jewel.

Do You Remember What is Truly Important?,

This review is from: The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination (Hardcover)
This is the book to read. If I were to choose which of Robert Moss's books to read first, I would pick this one. After you read this, you will want to read his other books. The Three Only Things reminds us of our Big Story, the one that is hunting us, showing us how to live our best lives. This week I was enmeshed in a personal trauma that caused me to temporarily lose sight of my larger goals. I began reading this book and within a few pages, I was able to see another way of looking at my situation. I decided to take immediate action on the vision I saw of how things could improve, and I was so glad I did. The problem is not resolved, but my way of dealing with it has changed for the better, and I know things will work out. I saw that magic does happen, even where I least expect to find it. This book is full of cool exercises to play with, in the midst of deep insight and amazing stories. You will see magic unfold in your life when you look for it. This book will change your life.

Do you believe in Magic?,
By
This review is from: The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination (Hardcover)
Robert Moss has written several excellent books on Dreaming. I found this book to be his most staightforward & least "out there" regarding how to work with your dreams on an everyday basis, especially for those who haven't done a lot of this before. The section on Coincidence will teach you to recognize & benefit from these not-so-random occurrences, to guide you to a better path, or just confirm that you're already on the right one. My favorite section by far was the one on Imagination; I liked it so much I'm reading it again. It will inspire you, empower you to reach for what you want in your life, & truly make you believe in Magic. And YOU will be the magician!

Watch for Signs,

This review is from: The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination (Hardcover)
This past Sunday, many of us in our little country church were astounded to learn that the sign out front had been vandalized. Scorched. Many of us were further amazed that we hadn't even noticed. We had not seen what was right in front of our eyes.
That afternoon, reading Robert Moss' book, The Three "Only" Things, I asked myself a question: If this were a dream, what would it be saying to me, or to our community? The answer was immediate: Watch for Signs. We go through our days oblivious to the gifts of information available through coincidence, dream, and imagination, missing essential clues to prosperity, safety and happiness. This book is a potent reminder to stop regularly, even as regularly as we look at the clock, to check the "pattern of the moment." What is happening around us and inside of us, right now? I have long anticipated reading Moss' newest book, and the result is well worth the wait. There is magic even in the first pages, new stories I hadn't heard, and the promise that in five minutes a day one can get in touch with one's inner truth. Dreamwork is a discipline, improved by regular practice. Yet the exercises Moss describes are easy even for a child, or rather, that what children find natural, adults need to relearn. Moss reminds the reader to play with dream, coincidence and imagination to reach a place of joyful childlike wonder. Robert Moss has written several books on dreaming. I have each of them, heavily underlined, well thumbed, and in a place of honour on my bookshelf. The Three "Only" Things will join them, already jotted with notes, thoughts triggered by Moss' masterful prose. I expect any reader to have the same recollection of times when coincidence or dream could offer surprise and insight, if only we would stop and watch for the signs.

A Manual for Living,
This review is from: The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination (Hardcover)
Robert Moss is a scholar, storyteller and excellent writer. His latest book, The Three "ONLY" Things, is my favorite of his numerous, interesting books. It deals with dreams, coincidence and imagination. For me, it is a manual on how to live my life. In the Introduction he lists the nine powers of dreaming, the nine rules of coincidence and the seven open secrets of imagination. Robert reminds the reader that our night dreams and our day dreams gift us with a bottomless treasure chest.
Our lives are filled with meaningful coincidences, synchronicities, if we would only pay attention. Robert suggests we look to these for valuable guidance. Such occurrences demonstrate something larger operates in life and that we are all connected. The imagination section is powerful. Robert gives numerous ways in which to use our imagination positively so that we can bring healing to ourselves and others as well as create wonderful possibilities in the world. The book is inspiring, practical and fun reading. The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination

If you're feeling pressured by clock time and would like to re-awaken to the creativity and magic embedded in everyday life, this is the perfect book to read.
I felt my energy expand and brighten as I absorbed the rich variety of stories, wisdom, and guidance so aptly offered by Robert Moss. "The Three Only Things" is a fascinating, well-written field guide, story book, and reference book, all in one--a distillation of soul wisdom that speaks directly to the reader in a personal way. I have eagerly awaited this treasure, having benefited from and enjoyed Moss's earlier books. All are full of post-it flags, and kept close at hand by my desk. I re-read them regularly and discover new insights every time. Moss' research skills and training as a past history professor enrich his narrative in a unique and satisfying way. His Chapter Notes, Bibliography, and Index are unsurpassed. There are so many gems in this book. One of my favorites is the Epilogue. I will return to those 7 pages again and again for encouragement to live daily by these guideposts: * The Way Will Show The Way * Hold To Your Vision * Pay Attention ("Energy flows where attention goes.") * Don't Give Up * Remember To Play I appreciate Moss' approach to the field of dreaming, which is practical while not sacrificing the spiritual depth of the subject. And the wit and humor in his stories and exercises helps to curb my tendency to become overly serious about dreaming, and to REMEMBER TO PLAY!

Navigating by Dreams, Coincidence and the Imagination - the Three Only Things - www.wandaburch.com,

This review is from: The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination (Hardcover)
THE THREE ONLY THINGS is the newest - and most magical - of Robert Moss' books. It gives voice to what we all know or should know - that dreams, coincidence, and the imagination are not dismissive passing fancies in our lives. They provide clues and opportunities that, if missed, leave us with only a torn map in our daily search for solving problems and meeting challenges.
Robert Moss shares stories that open for each of us the potential for discovering wide-awake conscious journeys that leave us alert to important symbols and synchronicities in our everyday life. Examples from history, from the media, from business leaders and celebrities, stories from people sharing their own experiences in a workshop or a daily life experience, bring us all to a personal understanding that "only a dream" might offer a healing image or a solution to a problem, that "just coincidence" might be a signal to pay attention to an amazing opportunity - or to avoid a disaster, and that "just my imagination" might offer us access to extraordinary counsel. Dreams, coincidence, and the imagination provide gateways to rich sources of creativity, show us opportunities that lie in the future and provide healing alternatives for our bodies and minds, creating a life that is an endless adventure both waking and sleeping. Robert Moss challenges each of us to find magic in our daily lives and to build a "home in the imagination strong enough" to find a "place of creative birthing we all long for, the state of mind Mozart evoked when he said `I can see the whole of it in my mind at a single glance...All the inventing and making goes on in me as in a beautiful strong dream.'" We, too, can find that magic in our daily lives, and Robert Moss' THE THREE ONLY THINGS provides the tools for a personal life navigation system that encourages us to monitor the play of coincidence and to notice the people and events that are drawn to our own passions and ideas when we realize we have the power to re-vision and recreate our world by living each day in an extraordinary manner.

A truly inspiring book of profound ancient wisdom sprinkled with joy,
This review is from: The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination (Paperback)
"The Three "Only" Things" is one of those precious books that you will rely on and turn to over and over again for comfort, advice and inspiration on how to live a fuller and better life through tapping into the nine powers of dreaming, nine rules of coincidence, and the seven uses of imagination.
Robert Moss, who is a pioneer of Active Dreaming, shows us how to use the power of dreams, coincidences and imagination and how to connect with those forces of healing and energy by using a multitude of fascinating examples from scientists, shamans, authors, rock stars, tree seers, composers, politicians: He mentions Winston Churchill, Leonardo da Vinci, Joan of Arc, Martin Twain, Harriet Tubman, Wolfgang Pauli, Carl Jung, and others, and how the gifts, or tools, of dreams, coincidences and imagination, have helped them connect and reclaim a wider dimension of life. The three only things; dreams, coincidences and imagination work for everyone, and it is free. Robert Moss is a great lecturer but it is obvious that he is also a great listener; one you would love to sit next to on an airplane and have a great conversation with; a person who is genuinely curious and eager to learn, and who generously shares his wisdom and insights later. This is a book that will add something to each reading as you listen to his advice and become more attuned to your own inner self, and open up to your intuition, imaginations, dreams, and their wisdom. That is why I buy it to all my friends and warmly recommend it! L. Holm author of "Fairytales for Femmes" and "Clonehead; Once in Everland".

This review is from: The Three "Only" Things: Tapping the Power of Dreams, Coincidence, and Imagination (Hardcover)
I found this book to be inspired and inspiring, especially the sections on coincidence and imagination (what gems!). Robert Moss's writing is engaging and compelling -- the book came alive in my hands, and provides a wealth of stories and anecdotes to share. I couldn't stop telling people what I had just read.
While "The Three Only Things" uses the phrase "Law of Attraction" exactly once, if you're into Law of Attraction (as I am), you'll see it all over the place in here. Lots of aha moments for the attuned reader. Highly recommended. |
