Splendid...as I know it would be,

This book explores not only male/female relationships but also friendships. The friends' relationship was admirable. Never a dull moment. I could visualize the entire setting. The women were smart and the men were wonderful. Truly a must read. Ms. Palfrey is an excellent writer. A sister Judge: I like it.

This is the 4th book I've read by Evelyn Palfrey. I really enjoyed the way she told this story. I liked this book because the "3 Perfect Men" were really perfect choices for the women they were paired with. My favorite character was Ike-though all of the men were perfect, he was awesome!

SPLENDID...
The friendship depicted was gratifying and on a mature level. The story line was good and I've been a fan of Ms. Palfrey's since a male member in our former book club, selected "Price of Passion" for the month. I was BLOWN away and have recommended that book to all readers I come across. Three Perfect Men was a great book and I look forward to future titles. Thanks for allowing my lack of sleep to be worth it (read during the night and had to work the next morning, but willing to go in groggy) : )

A Romantic Suspense...,
By The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (RAWSISTAZ.com and BlackBookReviews.net) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Three Perfect Men (Paperback)
Everyone needs a little romance in their lives to keep things in perspective, and unlike most of the books I've read in the past month, THREE PERFECT MEN took me on a road trip, one in which good men do exist. Evelyn Palfrey has matched three women with different backgrounds in an unlikely friendship, a glorious setting on a lake in the woods of a small Texas city, and of course the men who come into their lives. However, Ms. Palfrey didn't stop there, instead she threw in a few extra cards of suspense, mystery, and fun.
Eleanor, Angela, and Sondra: a feminist publisher/bookstore owner, computer programmer, and judge, have all taken off from their busy lives in Houston determined to get their minds off the things ailing them, but specifically to lift Angela's spirits regarding her so-called boyfriend. They've known each other for quite some time and RV trips to various spots across the U.S. is the norm for them. Unfortunately things start looking down when they find themselves lost. Not able to find the turn-off on their homemade map, they're a bit weary when a local man offers to show them to their destination. Over the course of a day or so, the calm and peacefulness of the lake is corrupted when a boat washes up to shore, inviting not only fear for their well-being, and doubt from the local sheriff, but also the introduction of two brothers brings a few more surprises to their trip. The women each allow their personalities to dictate what follows and it's definitely an interesting, intriguing, and sometimes funny scenario of what they get themselves into. Will they each take a step back to evaluate things and follow the path laid so clearly before them? Reading Ms. Palfrey's work is just as much a delight as talking to her in person. She's witty, warm, and loving, and it shines through in THREE PERFECT MEN. The highlight for me was seeing the men and how they allowed themselves to communicate with the women, to grow, and to acknowledge their feelings. I also enjoyed the suspenseful element of the book as well as the romantic portions. Her characters, though they have issues, help the reader realize the canvas which many of us paint our lives. We often use the past to guide the present, even at the sacrifice of turning away from something that could be good for us. Through these characters, we're able to see that romantic interlude, the "courting", and the wholesomeness and gentlemanly qualities missing from societal images of relationships. Ms. Palfrey's characters could be any one, of any race, or of any class. Reviewed by Tee C. Royal of The RAWSISTAZ™ Reviewers

As a fan, friend, and online Evelyn Palfrey fan club member, I must say that Evelyn manages to make her male and female characters come alive. She has a way of especially making the men sexy, desirable, and worth the fan arguments over who gets which man: Donnell, Ike, or Jones. The women, Angela, Sondra, and Eleanor are intelligent, modern-day feminists who have neither profession nor age similarities but are bound by a deep caring for each other that even transcends race. Their RV getaway to an east Texas wooded rv campground becomes caught up in a murder and they meet and spar with the three men who may or may not be their perfect soulmates. Wonderful suspense and romance.

"Three Perfect Men" by Evelyn Palfrey offers the reader love, understanding and a look into human hearts. The characters are independent, educated and mature. Sondra is a black judge; Eleanor is a bookstore owner and involved in the Women's Empowerment Group; and Angela, the youngest, is a freelance computer programmer.
The three men are also educated, of different lifestyles, worldly-wise and respectable. I love big brother Ike taking over the reins of raising his younger brother, Donnell, after the lost of their parents. Ike stubbornly demands the best from his brother. Donnell, as stubborn as big brother, developes into a dedicated young man in life and love. Jones, dealing with his sorrow of loss, is still able to reach out and love. The group is multiracial--I mention this briefly yet it really isn't important. You'll understand when you read the story. Woven effectively, the fabric of the story is contemporary, mature love and feminism. It briefly turns to horror with the death of a teenager and the issue of crack cocaine in the community. Each character carries their different life baggage. I love the `But Sisters.' How many times have we heard the `Buts' in our head? Brotherly and sisterly love is present throughout the novel. "Three Perfect Men" is a romance story at its best. Each mature character captured my heart. The ending will surely please you. I look forward to more of Evelyn Palfrey's "marvelously mature" novels. They speak to me. I highly recommend this read and give it 5 stars. Minnie E Miller Author

This story was outstanding... Three very differnt friends, Sondra, Angela, Eleanor, different ages, embark on a trip in a RV. They were just out for some quiet, sisterly bonding time. The three friend unknowing stumble on a murder. During the course of solving the mystery they meet three very different, very mature, men who embrace them, and eventually falls in love with each of the women.
Palfrey gives the reader a love story like no other story that I have ever read. Each character has a story that is completely unique. And what makes this story so appealing is that Ms. Palfrey give very little physical desciption of each character, which leaves the reader to use his/her imagination a more. I found of bit of myself in each character. The story is reflective, romantic, humbling, funny, and sensitive. It deals with many issues such as abuse, death, empty nest syndrome, lonliness, romance and love. Whew.... Thanks Ms. Palfrey for a wonderful story that I will read again and again. Peace and Blessings !!!

I was out and about and went into a little used bookstore and saw the book there; And after looking around for it online and what have you, I find it right there at this bookstore; even though the $$ was tight, I went and bought it; I'm just glad to read that good men exist; OK; so it's fiction, but still hope is still alive too;
