For four players. Based on an original work for string quartet, this arrangement for marimba quartet expresses three common feelings of life: Distress, Melancholy, and Relief. Most of the writing is for two mallets with two players using four mallets in the final section. Instrumentation: three 4-octave marimbas, one 4 1/2-octave (low G) marimba (it is possible to transpose up an octave if necessary).
