Editorial Reviews

Review

"This book has a brilliant, touching, surprising ending and I should have seen it coming, and that, my friends, is what great writers do: They give you all the foreshadowing you need to figure it out--but you never do." The Local Tourist, Mafia Hairdresser

"If you've ever dreamt of being swept off your feet by an English Prince Charming, you'll love this story. It's funny, it's exciting and yes, it's a bit sad too but good novels make you feel of bit everything don't they? It's about love and loss, and ultimately hope." Smitten by Britain

This story riveted me from page one. The development of characters and story line was intriguing and kept me glued to the book until I was finished. And then, when I got to the last chapter, I didn't want it to end. For a first time author, Meagan Lopez has captured my imagination. This is truly a book that is a page turner. I was amazed at the diversity of emotions I felt. I laughed, I cried, I re-read the emails back and forth between the two lovers and really felt as though I were living the story myself. I am looking forward to a sequel or prequel! This book will appeal to young and old and all in between.

I found myself instantly connected to this story as I dove into this novel. Friendship, romance, quarter-life crisis... What more could you want? I laughed, I cried, and even got butterflies in my stomach! It's a fast, easy read, but still deep and thought provoking. Lopez's "Questions" got me questioning my life too. In short, a great read. Bring on the sequel!

I bought this book since the author is a local gal in a group with me & I am always a fan of supporting local talent. I went into it just expecting a fun read. I was pleasantly surprised at how it exceeded any expectations I had. I cannot believe how much I felt every emotion the character goes through. Such a great read! I laughed. I cried. This book is written so well I cannot believe it's by a novice author. The talent here is amazing and I think this book could support a sequel. I want to know more about Adele!!! Buy this book- you won't regret it!!

The description for this book sounded cute- and parts of it definitely are. However, the beginning of the book jumps back and forth a bit and it can be disjointed. While the three questions are throughout the book, I didn't feel the description really represented the book. If I could go back in time, I wouldn't read it.

I found this book highly entertaining and very enjoyable. I flew through it - couldn't stop turning the pages. Meagan has an incredible talent for drawing you in and really making the characters and surroundings come to life. This is one I needed to have both in my Kindle and in paperback form on my bookshelf. A book every 20-something should read

I agree with some of the other reviewers that the beginning of the book made it a bit hard to get into. I expected the typical letter writing happy ending story - being an American I definitely know the word cheesy. But as I read it the descriptions became fuller and especially as the timelines finally converged (the letters and questions are from 9 months after the timeline the author starts with) the book changes into something else entirely. It is incredibly honest and I could not stop crying by the end. It was such a beautiful story and Im so grateful that the author was willing to share it.

Don't be fooled into thinking this is just another "girls-gone-wild" or chic-lit debut novel. Not only is "Three Questions" the delightful love story of American Adele and an Englishman named Guy- it asks surprisingly searching questions of both the characters and the reader.
From the simple - "What is your favorite meal?" to the scary "How would you describe your mom?", Lopez delves deep into her characters' hearts and souls. You'll be rooting for the lovers throughout the book, and you won't be disappointed with the denouement.

It isn't that I didn't expect the book to be good at all but it was free when I downloaded it so I didn't have high expectations. The last free book I read absolutely drove me crazy and I only finished it because I have a little reading OCD where I have to finish even the worst.

It starts out a little all over and you have to sort out the past/current events, but once you do, it really is a cute way to format this story. I was drawn into the characters pretty quickly and my heart went along for the ride in their story. I've paid for books I enjoyed a lot less. *Spoiler alert... though it is a great little summer romance read, it does not end perfectly in all happiness and roses. So if that is what you are looking for while sprawled out on your beach or pool towel, save this one for another day, but still read it.
