5.0 out of 5 stars three rivers
What an amazing book. I first read it about 18 years ago and have read it several times since then. It is a must read for anyone who likes exotic reading. It takes you to many places around the world. Although it is sexually explicit I found it to be a very exciting book about the relationships of three women and how all their stories weave around each other. I would...

2.0 out of 5 stars Funny Smut
I bought Three Rivers for 5 cents at a garage sale when I was 13. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I still have this book, but only because it's too great to throw out. It's literary porn and darn entertaining at that. When I say great I don't mean Pulitzer Prize winning, I mean humorous, smutty, sex-atleast-once-every-three-pages, over the top ridiculous...

5.0 out of 5 stars What a book!, November 14, 2002
By A Customer
I was told about this book from a friend. Once I started reading it I totally understood why she had not forgot the book within the last 15 years. The writing and descriptions of the scenes makes you feel like you are there. You have to read it to experience the profound energy that is shared throughout the book and with in the relationship of each of the characters.

It takes you back to a time when sexual freedom was just that "freedom" and the relationship of family and commitment is found within the boundaries that each of the characters holds as their own.

If you love exotic love books you have to read this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars **REMEMBERANCE**, May 16, 2001

The book was very explicit and sensual. A definate Woman's book. I read the book about 15 yrs. ago and never forgot it. Looked for it in numerous book stores but never found it. A very good escape from the daily grind of our lives, to just relax in the bath and go on a delightful journey. Roberta is a very interesting and detailed writer, wish there was more similar books out by her. I plan to re-read it again in Jamaica on my vacation. Thanks Roberta, your book added some fun and enjoyment to my life.

The first time I read this was when I secretely took it from my mother's bedside table at the tender age of 15. Not exactly something you want your children to read but there is no doubt that this book is a masterpeice of sexuality, sensuality, and love. Read it once and you'll never get rid of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The very best of the very best, December 2, 1998
By A Customer
I've been looking for a year now, still out of print. Just like another reviewer, I lent my copy out, and ne'er did it return. Roberta manages to do what seems to be the impossible, extraordinary women living extraordinary lives, having extraordinary sex, let's admit it, ladies, and all with a beauty that is never cheap or trite. PLEASE convince the publisher to get this one back!

This book represents the best of all fantacies. The descriptions of wealth, history, fashion, art, love, and sex are exceptional at worst, and overwhelming at best. Terrific, sensational, and a must for every woman's library.

I first read this book 10 years ago and I have been searching for a copy ever since. This book is one of the most exciting books I have ever read. I recommend it highly to all readers who enjoy a book of romance and adventure. If you are one of the lucky ones to have a copy, hold on tight. It is truly a treasure to have.
