An excellent book is an excellent book,

This review is from: The Three R's at Home (Paperback)
I would like to refrain from politicizing this review, but the previous review makes that impossible. Susan and Howard Richman are decent people. Their adventure in home schooling has enriched the community and this book reveals their methods. Unschooling is not the only school of thought in home schooling, although it has much to offer. The beauty of home school is freedom to choose what works best for each pupil and family. End quote from the book: "We have found that these approaches have worked positively with our own children. ... We hope ... that you'll find this adventure of learning with your kids to be worth the taking, and worth giving it your best." Encouragement, real help from a successful home school family. A valuable addition to your home school library.

Many have gotten the idea that these authors support the idea of unschooling. Nothing could be further from the truth and their true motives have recently been revealed in their push for more regulations on homeschoolers.
