5.0 out of 5 stars clever and funny story
This book is a riot ~ my 6yr old and I loved this book. It mixes several popular fairy tales into one and is a gem for a children's library.

2.0 out of 5 stars Make sure your child is familiar with all the classic stories first or this story will be lost on them...
My young child didn't have a clue what this book was about. Beyond that, this story is just not my style. The troll in the book talks like this, " You need a reality check, junior" or "I want my money you four-legged buttinskis" or "Just show me the money". This book is quite a bit too contemporary in heart and style for my taste.

5.0 out of 5 stars So funny!, August 30, 2009
This review is from: The Three Silly Billies (Hardcover)
I read this to my students and they thought that it was hilarious. Some things were way over their head-- since they are in second grade but they ask for me to read it over and over again!

This book is one of several we have purchased by this author for our 3 year old grandaughter. It is based on the tale of the Three Billy Goats Gruff and the troll. The goats have no money to pay the toll to the troll so they decide to pool their money with other fairy tale characters who come along to cross the bridge. The verse is witty and full of double entendres which makes it funny to both children and adults. You will not mind reading this book over and over again. The artwork is nice too. We also recommend Piggy Pie, Earthquack, and Bad Boys by this author.
