5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT! These guys rule! Powerful Melodocore Pop!
Like his first band, TSOL's, "Beneath the Shadows" masterpiece, Jack Grisham takes The Joykiller the next notch higher on the power pop ladder with "Three." Punks love to piss people off and this will piss off all the punks who are too conformist to recognize great music when they hear it. F--- you: they're a pop band!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars SUCKY
This is like the worse I have ever heard of The Joykiller. I heard the music on surf flicks and found out that i was hearing from old Joykiller songs. They must have changed their style because the music just has too much freaking piano tunes and it's too MELLOW to be PUNK!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Completely misunderstood, but completely brilliant, June 14, 1999

Jack Grisham has never wanted to stay in one place anyway. Just listen to TSOL, then Cathedral of Tears, then Tender Fury, then the Joykiller. As different as the self-titled debut was to "Static", is as different as "Static" to this album. Perhaps Jack's finest vocal performance ever, the album is quite diversified. For the closed-minded who wants the derivative product they expect, forget it...it's not for you. For those more adventurous, I highly recommend this. Very textured, excellent songwriting. Too bad most people didn't get it, or want to try to get it....the "commercial" failure of this album is what broke them up, in my opinion.
