Editorial Reviews

Review

"One story begins with a female hooker attending the funeral of her former client. Another is about a long-married couple who try to escape the obvious fact that their marriage is failing by having a weekend tryst. There is a beautifully written narrative in which a model discusses the many pressures women face to be attractive and the damaging psychological and physical effects of those pressures. All of the authors included in this book are incredibly talented, however, I feel as though many of them are using the erotic genre to express deep thoughts about life. This is great if you want an almost philosophical read about the various ways that sex becomes involved in human emotional conflicts."
—San Francisco Book Review

"This collection is what I’ve come to think of as vintage Alison Tyler–playful and sexy, but with an underlying substance that engages you emotionally, not just sexually. These stories will turn you on, but they’ll also invite you in."
—Malin James

"The book Three Way, edited and co-authored by Alison Tyler, features some of the hottest menage à trois in print in some of the most original ways. Not one story was the typical three way I would have imagined. I imagined some hot stories, but I also imagined typical girl, girl, guy stories. This book was such a refreshing surprise."
—Kissin Blue Karen

"Reading this book is like apple pie ala mode but with an extra scoop of ice cream—yes, it is that much fun."
—Reviews by Amos Lassen

From the Back Cover

Sex for two is beautiful.

Make it three and turn up the fun.

Three-Way offers sex with an extra helping, in these stories of steamy and often surprising variations on the ménage à trois. Three is definitely the charm in this adventurous anthology that begins with Tyler's confession of her first three-way as a naughty nineteen-year-old. In her own words, "Three means more of everything. Maybe I am greedy, but when it comes to sex, I like more. More fingers. More tongues. More limbs." Tyler has lovingly selected salacious stories such as Sophia Valenti's super sexy "Jezebel," the masterful Thomas S. Roche's scorching "Two Guys and a Girl," and Rebecca Henderson's "Circle of Friends," featuring a multiorgasmic orgy. Alison Tyler's Three-Way serves up thrilling scenarios that are playful, sensuous and provoking, all of them proving the adage that "good things come in threes."

Three is a number far more complicated than two. Not just in terms of numerology, but also in terms of people.

Relationships, and sex, are complicated enough when you have two people involved. Just mixing up the genders, or playing with gender roles alone, can make sex complicated, messy, and interesting.

Add a third person to the mix, and you don't increase those complications by just one person, but exponentially!

Three-Way is a new collection of stories curated by anthologist and erotica writer Alison Tyler. In the collection, she has brought together a batch of writers familiar and unfamiliar to explore situations where a third (and sometimes even more) person enters into the mix.

The stories are hot, and as always, throw in surprising and interesting character development to, as usual, make this far above just material for stimulation along. They go beyond the borders of the page and get into your head. How will Jesse's conceptions of his own sexuality change in the wake of the aftermath of the pool game bet payoff in Michelle Houston's Nine Ball, Corner Pocket? Or the unusual serial marriage going on in N.T. Morley's The New Fiancee? Or the future of the nervous heroine in Rachel Kramer Bussel's Trepidiation?

As I mentioned above, Alison has a set of go-to writers for her anthologies, but she has taken care to add new authors to the mix, including authors whose hot debuts are in this anthology. I appreciate the efforts she has made as an editor to bring me both the authors I love to read (Michelle Houston, Rachel Kramer Bussel, Thomas Roche, Sommer Marsden, just to name four) along with new authors for me to be introduced to.

The book Three Way, edited and co-authored by Alison Tyler, features some of the hottest menage a trios in print in some of the most original ways. Not one story was the typical three way I would have imagined. I imagined some hot stories, but I also imagined typical girl, girl, guy stories. This book was such a refreshing surprise. Maybe that is why I am a reader and not a writer...

My favorites from the book:

Three for the Money by Marilyn Lewis. What a hot original story about a hooker attending a funeral! The character development in this story is something to be admired. Well written doesn't say enough about the spin this writer takes on where a threesome ends up. This ride is very sexy, and definitely worth the money.

Endings by Julie Moore. A love triangle takes center stage in this story of a girl torn between two lovers. You think you know where this story is headed but it turns out you have no idea of who is deceiving who. The real cuckold in this story only lives in the females head.

All McQueens Men by Alison Tyler. Nothing is more fierce than a woman scorned. Julissa gets exactly what she deserves after being accused of cheating in a monogamous relationship.

State of Grace by Sommer Marsden. Being told he should abstain from sex at barely 40 this loving husband opens the doors of possibility for his new wife. This sexy love story takes pleasure to another level as he introduces his wife to another man.

This book also features stories from Dawn M.Pares, N.T. Morley, Michelle Houston, Thomas S. Roche, Rebecca Henderson, Dante Davidson, Zach Addams, A.J. Stone, Rachel Kramer Bussel, Emilie Paris, Eric Williams, Helena Settimana, Saskia Walker, Tom Piccirilli, Marcelle Perks, and Sophia Valenti.

I loved the originality of stories in this book. I recommend this read for anyone with a taste for more!
