I was extremely impressed by how this book gets you into the basics of real eBay selling, and can still teach the power moves that the pros like us use. As Skip goes through each section, he gives advice on how to set up your eBay operation, makes suggestions on what equipment and tools you will need, and points out some power moves that can help you exploit eBay's strenghts and not fall prey to its weaknesses.

I was very surprised that Skip threw in many of the "trade secrets" that takes years of experience to realize, AND he made them easy enough to understand for a beginner.

We plan on using this book to help train all of our new employees for our eBay operations. You should probably pick yourself up a copy if you want to compete!

This book is very detailed, and gives excellent resources for selling on eBay. Some of the eBay selling books I have read are very general and give little nitty gritty details. They are very generalized. This book, however, gets morein-depth than most and is a great, practical reference for getting started on eBay.

The author speaks from experience when he writes about eBay and you can tell when you read his books. I have every one of Skip's books near my desk as a reference. The author also publishes a blog that continues to keep you updated.

Book well worth the money and time to read if you are in a rush to get on eBay. The experienced eBay seller will want to skip thru the first couple chapters as they mainly are for the beginner. If you are a beginner... this is the book for you to excell.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is packed with all the information anyone needs to get started running an eBay business. Each chapter gets you more and more excited to get it up and going. My sister and I decided to start an eBay business together, and we have been following all the steps in this book. We especially like how Skip McGrath walks you thoroughly through each step. We just bought our first lot of products through a wholesaler and can't wait to put up our first auction on eBay. I highly recommend this book!

There are quite a few good suggestions in this book, however, the eBay website has been re-designed since this book was published. This is a bit confusing when the author refers to parts of the eBay website that no longer exist or exist in a different format.

I was looking for a book that would help me navigate the shoals of selling on eBay, but only for a few dozen personal items per year at most.
This book is for someone who plans to open an eBay business and make all or most of their living off it (buying wholesale in large quantities, drop-shipping, etc).
I'm sure it would be very good for such a person, but for me, I need to look for another, simpler book. However, this book seems very comprehensive for someone opening a large eBay business, so I think 4 stars is fair.

This book is the most fantastic resource I have found with step-by-step instructions on how to get up and running on eBay. Its like having someone there to hold your hand and guide you through each move.

I don't review books unless I genuinely like them, and I liked this book. The concrete, clear steps are excellent. I decided to use this book in teaching college students how to use the Internet more effectively.

This should be required reading before starting an e-bay business!!!! This book has been extremely helpful and I'm only half way through it! Very easy to read, in fact it is so interesting I have a hard time putting it down. Wheter you are a veteran e-bayer or a newbie, you should read this book! Full of EXTREMELY helpful information!!! Skip McGrath, You rock!

Overall, if you don't have several thousand dollars to risk on buying wholesale goods for resale on eBay or even Amazon, the book might be useful. If you just want to make a buck or two, and not have an eBay business with several thousand dollars to invest, the book is not worth buying.

That is just my opinion.
