4.0 out of 5 stars Erica Wheeler's "Three Wishes" great songs + wonderful voice, November 6, 2000

This review is from: Three Wishes (Audio CD)
From the first track "Onward from Here" to the last, "Saturday" this is one fine recording. I will now, after hearing this, go and find her earlier recorded work. She plays very well and writes really good songs. Erica wrote all the tracks on this CD except for "Angeline" (by James McMurtry) and "Casey, Illinois" (by Bill Morrissey). So far I enjoy the track "Nowhere to Go" the most. She has a clear and soaring country-flavored voice. Erica Wheeler is a fine songwriter and a wonderful singer, go get this CD and you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A musical and song-writing triumph, July 20, 1999

This review is from: Three Wishes (Audio CD)
Erica Wheeler is the next Bonnie Raitt, and Three Wishes is her breakthrough recording. I've listened to Three Wishes dozens of times and still enjoy it tremendously. Check out Onward from Here, the story of Jack's Tavern, the lyrics and music of Angels and the quiet pleasure of Solace of a Prayer. There's Nowhere to Go but to the nearest store, on-line or otherwise, to buy this CD. Happy listening.
