Book Description

*** Winner of the 2013 New Adult Book Club's Traveling Book Program ***

Here's what some of the participants had to say:

"Thank you for creating a gem Casey. Loved it!"

"Rachel and Collin - you're my heroes - romance heroes that is!"

"This was the perfect book and I finished it in one sitting"

"The anticipation of getting the book was well worth the wait!!"

"It was such a feel good read which is definitely what I was looking for this past week. I honestly could not put it down!"

"A complete joy of a read!"

The last thing Rachel Coleman wanted to do the summer before her senior year was go on a family vacation to Disneyland. The first thing she did when she got there, however, was run headlong into her happily ever after. Unfortunately for her, the guy was way out of her league.

Collin Blake, along with the rest of his college swim team, was just visiting Los Angeles for a few days. It was something the U Cal swimmers did every year. Falling in love definitely wasn't on his list things to do while he was there.

Is love at first sight even possible?
Collin and Rachel thought so. They had an instant connection... right up to the point when Rachel disappeared.

Can they pick up where they left off even though it’s... Three Years Later

Editorial Reviews

I loved the characters and the way their love story begin. I'm a sucker for happily ever afters and glad that this was one of those books. You don't always have to have all that extra drama to make a book good. This one was great the way it was! - Adore You Book Blog

First off, let me tell you what this story is about:

It's the summer before her senior year of high school, and Rachel Coleman is stuck going to Disneyland with her parents on what should be a typical boring family vacation. But everything changes the minute she bumps into Collin Blake, a blonde haired, blue eyed, professional swimmer with the body to prove it. They have an instant connection, and after a few rambling sentences and awkward glances at his swimsuit clad body, they part ways without so much as each others names. Yet they can't get each other out of their heads, and when Collin finally sees her again, he doesn't plan on letting her go.

They spend the day together talking, laughing, and sharing first kisses. But when a misunderstanding causes rachel to run, Collin is left with no way to contact her and they each go home heartbroken.

Fast forward to three years later...

Rachel is on the up and up at a big advertising firm, and is heading to Vegas to meet with a big client who makes goggles. Hmm goggles... I wonder who uses those? Now on the National Swim Team, Collin is on his way to Vegas to try and impress the same man, hoping for an endorsement deal. When they see each other sparks fly and their attraction comes alive. Now that they've found each other, can they pick up where they left off three years ago?

Sounds good, right? I thought so, and I still think the storyline has potential, but there were just so many things that bothered me, and nothing I really enjoyed.

- There were a good amount of editing errors, the most annoying of which was the use of parentheses when they shouldn't have been used!

2.0 out of 5 stars dissapointed... June 27, 2013

Format:Kindle Edition
I've never written a reveiw before, but this one needed it. The book was completley unrrealistic and shallow. Honestly, I was so excited to read this. Who doesn't like a good story that starts in disney? This book had serious potential to be fantastic, but utterly failed. First of all, Collin stalked Rachel down and kissed her the first day he met her, and then she gets upset over a stupid text and leaves.THREE YEARS LATER, they still think they love each other even though they've had no contact for three years? This isn't the worst part, because I can see the potentail sweetness of that. THIS is where it gets really bad. Seeing Rachel again at a party, Collin instinctively begins to make out with her and then dumps his perfectly sweet girlfriend who he's been dating for OVER A YEAR. What?! And this is the worst part where i serously almost deleted this book. HE PROPOSES that night with a plastic ring after only knowing her for FOUR DAYS and she says yes!!!! They then get married in a Vegas chapel, amd then proceed to have extremely animalistic, incencere, lustful sex for the next two days. Sweet romance makes me happy every time, but this just disgusted me. They have no love, just lust. After this point, the next half of he story is all happy endimg with no conflict whatsoever. The book ends in a stupid cliffhanger that seems makeshift. I don't want to be a hater, but save your money.

4.0 out of 5 stars a very sweet love story! March 10, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
The idea of "love at first sight" is one that hits close to my heart - because it's exactly how I met my husband. We literally locked eyes and it was all over. And we had to struggle to find out about each other too - until we were able to go on a date and get to know each other.

But, although I knew my own circumstances, I did have to suspend a little disbelief at the amount of time (shouldn't be a shock since the book is called 3 Years later :D) that transpired between their one day encounter and their next meeting. It was so sweet and cute!

And some of the conversations were so real and well done I was literally laughing out loud and interrupting everyone around me. I loved Maggie, Gretchen and Josh. They were such great additions to the story and really helped flush out Collin and Rachel even more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ummm...I'm still waiting for it to get interesting June 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This story has zero impact. Once again, a love story - which is sweet if unlikely - where it starts out with a girl behaving stupidly. I have to admit I'm kind of getting tired of the supposed drama of romance novels coming from the female doing something stupid, acting impetuously and without information. Attention authors - most of us really aren't like that! OK, rant over. The bottom line is that there is no real drama here. I kept waiting for "the other shoe to drop" so to speak, and it never did. The dumped girlfriend never came back to make trouble, the annoyed mother caved with no resistance, no consequences to changing coaches...nothing - just blah! Again, the story was sweet and a little over-the-top, but the only real suspense was wondering when something interesting would actually happen. Sadly, it never really does. Maybe in book 2? If that's the case the author's taking a big risk that people will want to read it after such a slow start.

2.0 out of 5 stars Um what? June 13, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Girl meets boy. They spend less than a day together but fall madly in love. Girl gets the wrong idea from 1 text & leaves with no way for him to find her.

She was so sure she was in love she didn't date anyone else for THREE years. (Ooookayy)

She is apparently so good at advertising she gets this amazing job. He's such an amazing swimmer he will probably go to the Olympics. They are also both gorgeous of course.
The whole thing is so out of the realm of reality I just didn't get it. There are absolutely no twists, just happy ever after the entire time from when they meet again.

Did I mention they got married the night they 're-met?' Yep.
If you are into rather unrealistic fluff, this book is for you. Otherwise save your money and time.
