Based on the book's title, I was hoping the bulk of this book would be couples telling their stories in their own words. I would rather read the stories myself and form my own conclusions. Unfortunately I found myself wading through a lot of other stuff to get to the stories, and still not finding much. Too much of the book is the authors' own analysis, interpretation, speculation, and explanation of methodology. That other stuff may be interesting to someone, but a book entitled "Married Couples Tell Their Stories" should allow those couples to tell their own stories.
