I came across this book and thought I would give it a try. It is written in such a fun, easy to read manner. The author is funny and the tips were very good. There are also some very creative things that you can do to have "thrifty" spa treatments at home...who knew!?! I loved it and would highly recommend it to others.

Call me "soon to be more beautiful!" I refer to this book regularly for solutions to any beauty dilemna using what I already have in my home. What a clever way for Susie to share her secrets on how to live a more beautiful life without breaking the bank! Thank you!!!

Wow! I LOVED this book! The beauty tips were VERY practical and easy to do, which is so important to me because like many women I've got a jam-packed schedule and don't like to spend a lot of time or money to look good. Thanks Susie!

Unless you are a teenager just learning how to apply makeup this book is of no use. As far as thrifty is concerned there is very little in this book that is thrifty. Very disappointed.

Ms. Galvez is delightful, insightful and entertaining with a hint of mischievous. Her tips are useful and inexpensive. I enjoy all her books and look forward to the next.

Only if you have never worn makeup in your life or you are a complete idiot, this book might be relevent. Some of the makeup tips are incorrect such as lining your upper and lower lash line which makes your eyes look smaller. Other "brillant tips" are not to wear makeup when your exercising or to put powder on your feet when they sweat. I can't believe trees died to make this book.
