I absolutely love this cd! It is my current fave to listen to at home as I unwind and relax. It is so amazing it gives me the sensation of being in heaven just praising God forever... What more could I really ask for in life? Thank you God for blessing Cece with the talent and inspiration to create this AMAZING work! Blessings :)

3.0 out of 5 stars A Softer side of CeCe
CeCe has some very nice tracks on here, but I feel her voice on some of the songs are too relaxed and she doesn't deliver that strong soulfulness I love about her in previous projects . This album is more of worship and calming of the spirit , mind , and soul .

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, September 4, 2005
This review is from: Throne Room (Audio CD)
This album is peaceful, this album is pure, this album is quiet, this album is serenity. This album is worship! The first 8 songs are devoted to worship. The quietness and the peacefulness in the first 8 songs are like fresh water from an open spring. Hallelujah Praise is one of my favorite songs from the next set of 8 songs that are dedicated to praise. This CD includes a DVD which includes scenes from the making of Throne Room and live performances by CeCe Winans as well as her video "More Than What I Wanted".

This is a very peaceful quiet album...
Thankyou CeCe,you are amazing
Jesus is good and real. For those of you
who buy the album there is also a dvd included
with the "No One" and "Alabaxtor Box" performance
I was looking for a little more on this album
but its ok because she has another
album to come out in mide 2004 its going to be a
up beat album like her self titled cd she bought
out in 2001.

But anything from CeCe is good
This is a special album...you will get in a peaceful
mode and can feel Gods presence if you are a true
believer in christ.Oh yeah CeCe is also AMAZING in live
concert what a blessing.
my sister and I got a chance to see her when she
came to Norfolk,Virginia at Ted Constant Center near ODU
university, she is also beautiful and radiant.

GOD Bless
In all your ways ackknowledge Jesus

4.0 out of 5 stars Back to the old CeCe, December 20, 2003
By
This review is from: Throne Room (Audio CD)
This CD I feel takes us back to the CeCe of Alabaster Box and Alone in His Presence and that song even comes on briefly. The theme is obviously pure worship. What I like about it is nearly all the tracks are mixed in to one another so the flow of worship doesn't stop however I dont always find it staying in my cd player as long as others might. The bonus dvd has some nice studio footage in it though.

Jesus, You're Beautiful: Real nice song. Repetitive but you don't even realise `cos you get so caught up!
Throne Room: Title track by Andrae Crouch. Again really nice allowing you to cry out `holy...'
How Great Thou Art: You know this song already surely? CeCe takes it slow really allowing the meaning to come across: Our God is great.
You're So Holy: Lyrically and musically repetitive but you can't help singing along.
Oh, Thou Most High: One of my favourites. The melody and production is beautiful.
By Thy Blood: The choir provides beautiful backing in this one. Not much to it musically but it really does allow the listener to worship
Hallelujah to the King: `Simple song.' They are her own words. I think this is one of best. Andrae Crouch still has his touch and CeCe is amazing her vocally.
Thirst For You: Another favourite. I can't review this one its just too good.
Come Fill My Heart: Production is class. I love the chorus. Definitely one of the best on the album. Reminds me of `Comforter' from Alabaster Box. The choir and CeCe really outdo themselves here.

Mercy Said No: CeCe's personal favourite on the album. A ballad reminiscent of the song Alabaster Box. After this song you'll be thanking God for Mercy.
All In Your Name: I warmed to this track immediately because it was such a nice contrast to all the slower songs you get previously. This song has persuaded me to buy the choir's album. I haven't yet but I will.
No One Else: One of my least favourites on the album. I can't explain it, the chorus isn't bad but I'm just not used to this track yet.
Hallelujah Praise: Yeah this is cool. It's one of the best fast ones. CeCe pulls this off so well. I could actually see Mary Mary doing this song its got that kind of vibe. Just listen to CeCe's lead vocals and you'll understand.
Just like You Jesus: Its not as good as some of the others but its not that bad. It sounds a bit like a sort of Sunday school song you might hear, which is maybe why there are kids singing towards the end of it.
A Heart Like Yours: I love this song. It's a nice slow cut to end the album which kinda makes you hit the repeat button.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ok, May 19, 2005
This review is from: Throne Room (Audio CD)
I have to say that this is the "best" to me, Cece Winans was ever done. It is so relaxing to hear a voice so powerful, but elegant at the same time. Every day or night when i feel lost or need direction or just wanna chill, I listen to the "Throme Room". Way to go Cece. I dont think no gospel artist will ever be able to capture the grace of love and and powerful gospel sound that Cece was captured. I love the CD. And thats all.

5.0 out of 5 stars She Fills Our Cup Once Again!, April 15, 2004
This review is from: Throne Room (Audio CD)
CeCe Winans is one of the very few gospel artists who comprehends how to deliver worship music. She doesn't whine to you, she doesn't yell at you, she SINGS...and that's what I appreciate about this cd. At first I was a bit apprenhensive about purchasing this cd because it was touted as being a worship cd, (and that it is) because I usually get a headache when listening to other artists of this genre. However, the Princess once again proves why her work stands head and shoulders above everyone elses.
The cd starts with "Jesus You're Beautiful" and continues with songs of worship until around track nine. All of the songs are memorable and greatly delivered. Then the beat begins to kick in (just a bit!) and the listener is treated to some of CeCe's best songs to date. "Mercy Said No" will literally cause you to stop whatever you are doing and listen. "Come Fill My Heart" is another wonderful song that displays CeCe's powerful voice. "All In Your Name" is sort of CeCe's way of letting the world know that she understands from whom she has received her blessings.
For all of the "beat bugs" out there, CeCe then offers "No One Else" and the song is just lovely! She pours it on even more with "Hallelujah Praise" which in my humble opinion is one of the best "church" gospel songs I have heard. CeCe does not disappoint as "the spirit takes over" and she best thing about this song is that she sings her way through, she doesn't replace singing for yelling. What a perfect touch!
All in all, this cd is a true testament to the evolving artist CeCe is. She grows with each release and each cd becomes better and better. I don't think she leaves anything to be desired. "Throne Room" is by far the best gospel release of 2003!

5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful!, September 12, 2003
This review is from: Throne Room (Audio CD)
omg! this album is so great. cece has done it again. she is a beautiful performer and a beautiful (u will c that inside the booklet pics). she enters into worship, as well as gospel. the first half of the record is worship. telling God how beautiful and wonderful he is. giving God all the praise. cece who is not new to praise and worship shows it on this album. with songs like "jesus your beautiful, come fill my heart, mercy said no, heart like yours, halleujah to the king, your so holy," its sure 2 let u know how much u love God and how thankful u r. "mercy said no" is sure 2 bring people to tears. dedicated 2 cece's brother who ronald who died on the hospital a few years a go and was risen. "thirst for u," brings the serious cece that everyone knows. the cece that is really lookin for Gods presence. the only r&b dance song on the cd is "no one else," but b sure 2 listen 2 the words. all in all this cd is great. i expect it to be one of the biggest sellers and award winnig albums this year.
buy it i suggest! its just awsome! also look out for cece's next album releasing april of next year. it will be a fool pop album!
