thrown to the amazing wolves,

For a band that's been around quite awhile, its good to hear change from. This album is right up there with heroine, hard hitting, accomplished and dignified. I knew from hearing their bonus track off the album "Dear Diary, My Teenage Angst Has a Body Count" that they always wanted to try something new, and this new sound is exactly what will bring them new fans as well as appreciative smitten fans.
It's not more melodic, par se', but changes direction sporadically, change ups as well as definitive choruses are adequately arranged throughout. Not necessarily screamo, i would say it's pretty darn close to prog metal something or other. I hear a bit of influences from bands like Coheed and Cambria and Every Time I Die. From their previous albums i would have never thought to associate those acts with FFTL, but this is genre bending. A great comeback from a stellar band, a well deserving 9.5 out of 10.

" What will people think now that Christians bought up hardcore and Disney owns the punk scene?",

Wow, completely blown away by this album. I have been anticipating this release for quite sometime and its safe to say that I was in no way disappointed. First off, the title of the record says it all; a brutal and aggressive album that is fantastic throughout. If you're a fan of this band's previous efforts, I strongly recommend that you give this record a try. It has elements of all their other releases and Matt's vocals are truly captivating and fit perfectly. Lyrically, it shines beautifully, one of my favorite lines are " What will people think now that Christians bought up hardcore and Disney owns the punk scene?", from the opening track. The song, "I'll Inoculate The World With The Virus Of My Disillusionment" in my opinion, is pure lyrical genius, definitely one of my favorites.
Overall, a great, yes great, not good, but great release from these guys. This record shows a lot of maturity and growth and is without a doubt worth buying.

Great fresh take on an already awesome band. I've heard their record sales for this album has been pretty bad, so support a good band and buy this album!
