Through the Bible in One Year. Alan B. Stringfellow's rigorous Bible study is one of the few I've seen that takes you through the Bible starting at page one and reading through to the end. It has outlines, central themes, and study questions for each book of the Bible. It is designed to take you through the old testament the first 6 months and the new testament the remaining 6 months. This gives you much more emphasis on the new testament. The old testament sudies are designed to let you see how it points to Jesus Christ. The text of the Bible is not contained in this study making this a lot of study for your money. Excellent Bible study!

I personally found this bible study to be excellent. The lessons were broken out into logical and easy-to-follow chapters and the pace of the lessons were realistic to complete in a one year timeframe. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to do a bible study--it's scripturally sound and very informative.

Provisional evaluation,

I wanted a study guide that I could use by myself. This book is probably excellent for a teacher of a class studying the bible, but is does not seem to contain enough interpretative information for the use I intended.

I used this workbook about five years ago when I undertook a comprehensive study of the Bible on my own - from Genesis through Revelations. This study guide along with my Life Applications Bible was an excellent resource; I accomplished that important goal. I am now using a second copy to start again and am looking forward to another meaningful journey.

This book provides a good outline / general overview of the books of the bible based on a literary view. Definitely helped as an introduction to the bible. If you are looking for indepth study of each book of the bible you will want to find another study material but this is worth having in your bible study library.

I think this is the best Bible study book you can use. If you are meeting in a group and just answer the questions you get a great overview of what each book in the Bible is about
