5.0 out of 5 stars wow
Oh boy, i am barely going through this album, and I am very impressed. Sounds amazing!!!I will write again later when done but I've got that feeling you get when you put on jacket you haven't worn in a long time and find a 20 bill in your pocket. Yeah that good!

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmm.
I heard an interview with the lead singer and sampling of Hypernova's music on NPR and was intrigued because they are from Iran and many of their lyrics contend with the difficulty of living in an oppressive theocracy. I also liked their sort of post punk sound -- the singer sounds like the guy from Interpol, who sounds a bit like Ian Curtis from Joy Division. I must...

As an Iranian growing up in Seattle "Capital of goth & punks" & to see a band from Iran coming up with such album I say two thumbs UP. Bravo Hypernova.

The music is great. The lyrics are real good as well. Their lyrics, to me, are more geared towards their experiences in Iran as a band. I respect that, since I was raised in Iran and have extensive family in the country. It could very well be that I interpret their lyrics that way because of, mine and their, history. I like the CD.... 100% excited about what lies ahead.....

I enjoyed the clean guitar pop sound of this album, which is not normally the case. Make no mistake, however. The energy is high and the message delivered in the lyrics is interesting and powerful. Especially considering the perspective and heritage of the band.

Found out about the band on the Fox News show Red Eye that airs @ 3am. Hope they tour down south.

I also liked their sort of post punk sound -- the singer sounds like the guy from Interpol, who sounds a bit like Ian Curtis from Joy Division. I must say, though, the CD only bore a few listens before I shelved it. The lyrics are a bit facile and the music doesn't seem as impassioned as I would hope from people fleeing governmental repression.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hyperova = Iranian Rock, July 9, 2010

I love Susan Deyhim as a musician. She is also an activist for freedom for the people of Iran. I support that Green Revolution. In an interview she named a few other groups who have been working to help people and create art. Hypernova was one of those groups. I ordered the CD from Amazon and it was delivered in good time and in great condition. I have listened to it and studied the group and I like all I see and hear. I will get another CD from this group.
