This review is from: Through the Gates of Hell: Stories of Caffeine Psychosis (Paperback)
I have to say first of all...loved Ruth's book "Welcome to the Dance" it is more of an autobiography (and includes a lot of facts and research).I highly recommend reading Welcome to the Dance...good good informative book...safe to say it changed my life.
However, I was a little disappointed with this one...perhaps because I didn't read a lot about it before I bought it. I just assumed "Through the Gates of Hell" would have actual biographies about different people that have caffeine allergies but all the stories are actually fictional. I would love to see Ruth Whalen put out another book that has real true stories about caffeine psychosis. In her book "Welcome to the Dance" she includes biographies of other people that have severe caffeine allergies, I loved that part and would love to read a entire book like that. But as far as this book goes...fiction about this subject isn't really my cup of tea. I say buy her other book "Welcome to the Dance" instead. |
