Jenna Fordyce is beautiful, smart, sexy, and almost totally blind. She's fought hard for her independence. But her divorce and her temporary separation from her three-year-old son, have left her feeling unworthy and anything but attractive. Her first attempt in months to have fun, has ended with an embarrassed trip on the sidewalk. Now she's got a gash on her forehead and her driver thinks she's drunk. Logan O'Brien isn't looking for love or anything more than a casual fling and he's definitely allergic to daughters of the rich and socially elite. He's done well with his transportation service and is ready to expand the business to corporate jets; an expansion that relies heavily on Avery Fordyce's financial backing. So when Logan is summoned to pick up Avery's daughter at a popular nightclub, he pauses the end of the ballgame he'd been watching and prays the girl isn't too drunk or he'd have a mess in the Hummer. One look at the socialite and Logan is groaning. She's holding a cloth to her bloody forehead and is attempting to appear to be incognito behind huge sunglasses. Insisting that she have medical attention for the gash, Logan discovers the real reason for her dark glasses and uncertain footsteps. He's intrigued and has trouble fighting his desire to kiss her. Jenna's thrilled with the sexual sparks between them and decides that a weekend fling with Logan is just what her neglected libido needs. All she needs to do is convince Logan that a platonic friendship is not in the cards.

Apparently, I'm reading this book out of order, as there are two earlier books about the O'Brien siblings. Though this book stands totally on it's own, the glimpses of the other siblings have me eager to read their stories too. This is a wonderful story of relationship growth. Logan comes to realize that he needs to be Jenna's friend first and Jenna learns that independence doesn't mean she has to give up love. The witty and wicked sense of humour given to these great characters builds the sexual tension to some very toasty temps. A very good read! :D
