More About the Author

Susan Tyler (1953- ) was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to an anglo-american father of mixed scottish, english and irish decent and a hispanic mother of spanish and mexican decent. Growing up she loved spending most of her time in the southeast barrio known as San Jose where her God Parents lived and acted as her second set of parents, she avoided traditional hispanic expectations by focusing on her education. While she reveled in the culture and the foods of the southwest, she longed for greenery that could not be found in the arid deserts and mountains surrounding Albuquerque. Drawing on her experiences as she transformed herself from telephone operator to police officer, she found writing to be her source of comfort. Never intending to share her story with the world, she fell into writing as a way to soothe her own demons that haunted her from her life's journey thus far. There are no book awards, no atta girls for short stories and no life in the limelight of esteemed authors, Susan has none the less devoted her spare time to sharing her knowledge and her expertise with those who asked for it. Turning that information into a series of books is Susan's goal.
