5.0 out of 5 stars Ripping the wrapper of the fraud of islam March 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My personal belief is that islam is a cult. This is after reading the koran, the Muslim "holy book". The lie of moderate islam is discovered in the reading of its texts, which encourage violence towards unbelievers, deception to further the islamic agenda, and outright genocide of another religion.
This book exposes a small slice of the fallacy of the religion of peace. I hope and pray that Americans eyes are beginning to open to the mockery of islam

5.0 out of 5 stars Obama beware but press will suppress April 10, 2013
Format:Paperback
I can only assume everything in this book is true(unlike the liberal media driven internet news sites). After all, the references are there. How can so much fact even be shared with the general public? How did Obama even get any support? Do people just run away from truth? Evidently so. I have already shared this book with friends, including a city-employed teacher that normally preaches the governments line. Will it make a difference? Cant help but do so. This book is a must for seekers of truth, or you can bury your head. Easy read chocked with real world, not the pretend world created by the crazies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard hitting, informative, and entertaining March 6, 2013
By ChrisLA
Format:Paperback
"Through These Blues" is a personal account of D.C. Watson's encounters with Political Jihad and its supporters. He doesn't mince words. He exposes the lies of the apologists, and he includes fourteen pages of references -- something rarely found in apologetic books. He also gives due credit to the other heroes of the counter jihad movement. While one detractor cited Watson's history of bear wrestling as a reflection on his sanity, others who agree with Watson's observations are glad to have him on their side. D.C. Watson is the Pat Condell of the written word.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Read Well Spent March 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Nowadays, it's tough to take the time, sit down and read something worthwhile these days without a book taking up a lot of time. Not so with Watson's book.

Accurately nailing the facts about the threat of Jihad, and what people need to be aware of, Watson talks to you as if you met him on a commuter train having a brief but effective discussion. Fully aware you don't have the time for hearing conjecture or opinion, he lays out what he has to say in a brief, refreshing tone, and using facts. In summary:

- What's being taught in our schools about Islam, and who is coming into our schools and making these presentations;
- Which Islamic groups have already infiltrated our government, and what are their long-term goals;
- What do Muslim leaders, who represent "peaceful" Islam, have to say about our country, our existing laws, and of Jihad itself;
- Who are the counter-Jihadists, and what do they have to say about the threat of Islam in the United States;
- A chapter dedicated to my good friend and former shipmate in the U.S.

2.0 out of 5 stars Anti-jihad blogger February 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
"Through These Blues" by D.C. Watson (c. Feb. 2013), self-published on-demand through Lulu; 132 pages, medium-large paperback with large print and wide margins. The author's bio: "My doctor's office tells me that I stand 6'l 3/8" (p. 71) and he is part Cherokee (p.9), that's pretty much his `curriculum vitae'. He is opposed to (radical) Islamism, he is an anti-jihadist, he doesn't like the "media darlings at CAIR" (p.43); he describes himself as an "American" , and, apparently, supports freedom. He provides short snip-it quotations from various anti-American spokesmen (Iran's Khomeini, etc. - you know the usual anti- "Great Satan" suspects). The author tosses in some ayats from the Muslim holy book: The Qur'an -- ayats that feminists and secularists don't like. Overall, this book(let) reads as if one has read the daily JIHAD WATCH on-line newsletter for the past year and developed 30 two-page-long topics and condensed them into this paperback. He provides no footnotes, and end-notes are mere references to various (anti-Jihad) www websites. This book(let) pretty much reads like an on-line blog, herein, a paperized blogger. His heart and mind are in the `right place' (anti-Islamism), but I can't recommend this blog book(let) to anyone. No need to pay for this paperback when you can just read the various daily, anti-Jihad, on-line newsletters by Robert Spencer, Daniel Pipes, Raymond Ibrahim, etc. The author provides numerous anti-jihadist quotations, but doesn't tie them together for a meaningful (coherent) product. My 2* rating is really praising it too highly, too -- something more for taking to a beer-hall for shouting out a quotation from time to time. [What subliminal message the author is trying to make with his book's title and (his?) blue-eyed book's cover - I'll leave for others to psycho analyze.]
