Many Christians can remember listing to the national radio program of the late Walter Martin, the original "Bible Answer Man." Or perhaps they recall attending one of his presentations in churches throughout the country. Whatever the venue, hearing Dr. Martin speak on the subject of cults, the defense of the Christian faith, and Christian spirituality, was an inspiring treat. Those who benefitted from his ministry will appreciate this latest book by Dr. Martin, published posthumously by his oldest daugher, Jill Martin Rische. In Through the Windows of Heaven, the reader will be treated to many spiritual gems drawn from the many public lectures of Dr. Martin. This book has great broad appeal to the Christian public, not only to those with an apologetic interest, but also to those interested in gaining practical spiritual insights applicable in their daily walk with Christ. I highly recommend this book.

I can hear Dr.Martin's voice as I read this book. I had the privilege of attending some of Dr.Martin"s Bible classes when he was alive,and I'll I can say is this book brings back some wonderful memories. Every story is packed with the power of the uncompromised Word of God. Jill Martin Rische did a magnificent job of bringing some of her dad's teaching's to print. I sure hope there will be another volume.

This is a book sure to stand the test of time. Dr. Martin teaches the word of God in his own, unique way. The messenger is gone, but the wisdom lives on!

Very well written. I have already heard all these messages over my many years of listening. However I still highly recomend all of Walter's books. Plus his new web site waltermartinreligiousinfonet. Check out his book The Kingdom of the Cults it is GREAT! Thanks-Ron.

This is a book which can be very moving. It provides bible references to each of the authors fathers writings. If studied after reading a chapter a better understanding of the bible can be obtained. The only thing I didn't like was obvious dislikes of the Morman religion. I believe only God has the right to accept or reject a religion. The book is an excellent learning guide for those who desire to learn as much as possible about the holy bible.

I've been checking out Mr. Martin's account of his stunning appearance in Salt Lake City, because it struck me as much too good to be true and because several of the specific parts of the story just didn't make any sense to someone who really understands Salt Lake City, the organization of the Mormon Church, etc.. Well, as things turn out, I've found not a single witness who can corroborate the more spectacular elements of his story. It seems to be hugely exaggerated, at best. On the other hand, I've interviewed several who directly contradict the more striking portions of the tale. Which makes one wonder how far one can trust any of the rest of this book. I wouldn't bet the farm on it. Incidentally, I like this line very much: "Jill Martin Rische continues to follow in her father's footsteps as a Bible scholar with a heart for hurting people." I think, apart from the rather misleading depiction of Mr. Martin as a "Bible scholar," that it sums his ministry up quite well, if properly read.
