this album is horrible. Hard 2 B-Legit was tha only album ive ever really felt of his. tha production on this album is so weak and watered down and tha guest artists are terrible. I would not recommend this album...i thought he would come hard off tha sucess of E-40 but I was wrong. WEAK!

After just a little over a year, B-Legit returns with his (I believe) 7th solo album. His 1993 debut "Tryin to Get a Buck" was a near classic, 1996 & 2000's "Hempin..." albums were both solid 4 star albums, his "Hard 2 B-Legit" was 3.5, "Block Movement" was border 3/3.5, don't have his "Hood Hustlin" from '06, and this is another 3.5 star, sub-par (for his standard and what I know he's capable of) album. As always he has some laid back funky beats, but also some more radio-trendy sounding ones. Guests are on 9 of the 16 songs. Of the 16, 4 are ok, the other 12 are pretty good, but only a few are real good and no classic on here. Production is up and down, Stix does 4, Troy Sanders and Mall each do 2, Mike Mosely, Goldfingers, B-Legit, Young L, Andre Samuel, E-A Ski, Quazadelic, and LJ each do 1. An average album, and his 90's work is still, by far, his best.
#1 - 8.5 (f/ Taj-he-Spitz & Mac Dre -- good beat) #2 - 8 #3 - 8 #4 - 6.5 (f/ Duna) #5 - 9 (f/ 918, E-40 & Levitti -- one of those tight smooth beats that he sounds best on) #6 - 8.5 (good beat) #7 - 7.5 #8 - 8 #9 - 7.5 (f. Taj-he-Spitz & 2wiceberg Slim -- upbeat track be better with no guests) #10 - 8 (another upbeat with an annoying hook) #11 - 9 (f/ J-Minix -- tight beat) #12 - 8 #13 - 8.5 (f/ 2wiceberg Slim & Taj-he-Spitz -- nice beat) #14 - 8 (f/ Levitti) #15 - 7.5 (f/ Harm & Quazadelic) #16 - 8 (f/ Clyde Carson & Duna) Brandt Jones -- Vallejo, CA Check all my reviews

after the block movement cd came out b-legit started advertising the release of block business. it got pushed back month after month. i think it initially was supposed to come out over a year ago. so instead of releasing that cd all we get is this underproduced, boring, disappoinment of an "album" thats still advertising the release of block business on the inside of the case. there's maybe 4 or 5 tracks on here worth anything. the rest sound like he recorded them 7 years ago. the majority of the beats are so weak, and the guest artists are even weaker. save your money and wait for something better. you can tell he just put this one out for the money.
