Sneak Peek A Motion City Soundtrack, January 10, 2008
This review is from: Thrown (Audio CD)
Frontman for Motion City Soundtrack, Justin Pierre, develops his "musical chops" for what would become one of the best bands that Minnesota has to offer the music world of the 2000s. The songs are not quite as catchy and poppy as MCS, but then again, it's a different band, and a much different era. The guitars are heavy and over-take the vocals at many points, but that's to be expected in the era of grunge and bands like this trying to capture that sound. Good luck finding this album, as MCS only grows in popularity and it being released in limitied numbers (as it comes to a huge surprise that this album was NOT a commercial smash). I suggest roaming around the Minnesota record stores' used sections, especially my favorite, Electric Fetus, or even the local Cheapo.
My favorite track on the record, track 2, Wonderful Girl. Now go get it!!
