Book Description

October 1, 1977
In his inimitable style, Walter Lanyon urges the reader to obey the command from the Source to "Thrust in the Sickle." He says, "suddenly the harvest ... But the laborers are few. What a command to contemplate for a moment, for an hour, or until you have a brief encounter with the Father."

This book is filled with similar images and challenges.

About the Author

Little is known about Walter C. Lanyon, except that he was an American born Englishman, educated in this country, England, France and Germany. He died in California in 1967.

Walter Lanyon was the author of over forty books on Truth which have had a wide and continued circulation. Though most of his books are now out of print, there remains a constant demand for them. He traveled and lectured all over the world, basing his lectures, as he said, " solely on the revelation of Jesus Christ."

He felt that the very simplicity of the WORD was the point that baffled most Truth students.

{In addition to his books, apparently Walter Lanyon wrote two light operas, many secular stories, plays and articles, all of which are now lost. This is also true of paintings he is said to have exhibited in Europe and the U.S.

From Chapter 17: Your Divine Heritage Claim your rightful inheritance. What is your inheritance? Who are you? Until you fully recognize these two points, you are merely playing about with an affirmation -- merely toying with some words. Thousands have spent years of their lives claiming, "All that the Father hath is mine," had difficulty finding enough to pay for a weeks lodging and food. Beloved, how long will you wait without, seeking for that which is in plain sight? How long will you try to make God do that which is already done? When will you identify yourself with the Christ within, the Son of the Most High, and begin to see the right -- the Divine Heritage -- the joy that will come to you when you realize that life is not just one long, tiresome job of demonstrating God? Now are we the Sons of God -- right now. When a man hears the word in its true sense he finds he has been spelling it backward, and that in reality the " understood means " You have won the sonship and all that goes with it when you understand the " of Spirit.

This review is from: Thrust in the Sickle (Paperback)
Walter Lanyon is perhaps one of the greatest authors on the the understanding of the Christian message. His revelation and vision of what Jesus was trying to communicate to a "religious" community is exactly what is needed to be understood nowadays in our "religious" community! He has the wonderful ability to remove all the "institutionalized concepts" and bring the Life that the Christ manifested in fullness.
