This story is one of three ladies all trying to come up through education while refusing to leave the thugs alone.

Angel - Going to law school while seeing a pimp named Snake. She has no problem fighting him like a dude, she refuses to let him beat on her like he does his tricks.

Kyra - Going to school to be a psychologist. Has a man named Tyler but her true love is older man Marvin. Despite Typler's intentions, Kyra will never love him in the same way she does Marvin.

Jaz - Going to Princeton to be a doctor while seeing Faheem. Jaz seems to be very focused on her studies but she also has a side hustle in the drug game that will come back to haunt her.

I thought this book was good from beginning to end, I did not want to put it down. I liked how the book was divided into sections by each woman so that the story and background of the character was told from their particular point of view. Now I can't wait to read the sequel. I also liked how each "thug" was most interested in handling his business in the bedroom. Each of these ladies had a man that knew how to put it down.

The version of the book I read contained an interview with the author and a reading guide. The author interview was informative and a nice touch. I highly recommend you read this book. I will definitely be purchasing the sequel "Every Thug Needs A Lady", I hope it will tell Roz's story and give an update on the other ladies. Good job Wahida!! Keep 'em coming.

THE BOOK IS ABOUT A FEW FRIENDS WHO IS DATING THUGS
ALL OF THEM LOVE THUGS, BUT ONE FRIEND HAS A SECRET THAT
SHE IS KEEPING FROM HER MAN, BUT WHEN THE SECRET COMES
OUT SHE WILL NEED HER THUG MAN TO HELP HER, OTHER THAN THAT
THE BOOK WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW THESE GIRLS DEAL WITH DATING A

When I first purchased the book Thugs and the Women Who Love Them, I was unsure if I would enjoy the book... I just want to say that I was very wrong in my opnion. This book is great in my mind. Once I started I could not stop... I finished in one day, that is just how good the book is... Being young and still going through the head aches of dating, plays a part in why I like this particular book as much as I do. Personally if I can relate to what is going on in a book, I'm hooked. If I'm wondering about what is going to happen next I am also hooked, and that is exactly what Thugs and the Women Who Love Them does...
