3.0 out of 5 stars Not big enough, December 14, 2010

This review is from: Thule 556BLK Sailboard Pads Roof Rack Load Bar Pads (Sports)
I bough these and a set of Thule racks to carry may RC airplanes on top of my car to the field. I must say I am satisfied with the rack but not so much with the pads. Mainly because they I think they could be much bigger in all senses: Longer to cover all the load bars. (haven't measure but I think they cover about only half of them); Wider in diameter so there is more protection/foam.

Also, I didn't like the way it is installed or better perhaps, how it is uninstalled. It is far to easy to take it off, what makes easy to steal it. Therefore, I am taking it off after every use.

Finally, I have to say that the length can be seen on the product's picture and the description mentions that the system is "easy to put on and take off"; therefore the description is complete and accurate.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lousy attach sytem..., September 22, 2010

This review is from: Thule 556BLK Sailboard Pads Roof Rack Load Bar Pads (Sports)
The pads have goog quality but the a very poor system to attached them to the bars, once I get my surfboards on the rack and I enter a dirt road I realize that it's very hard for the pad to stay in one position and it rotates around the bar, if the road gets too bumpy the pads go upside down and the boards end up directly to the bars. To solve this you have to tight them with several plastic ties.
