I want to protect my investment in my MacBook against accidents. I want a case rugged enough to protect against drops along the edges and corners, or against perpendicular impact to the screen.
I am quite willing to pay for what I believe is about the best lightweight, protective sleeve. Thule's sleeve is engineered with the same waffle design seen in its bike and cargo racks for good shock resistance. The stylish blue closing tabs are lockable and add security. To my mind, the good news is that buying superior protection for my valuable MacBook does not cost more than other, lesser brands.
Truele has developed a lightweight, high-density, semi-rigid sleeve that looks good and is a good choice for business, school and personal use. My only caveat: Consider removing your MacBook from the case for extended use to protect the battery from getting too hot and blowing out your chips and other components. Should you prefer a carrying handle or strap, consider the
Thule Gauntlet TMPA-115 15-Inch MacBook Pro Attache (Black). The Thule Protection Sleeve comes in a 13" and 15" size and is a snug fit. Regretably for many, it is not yet released in a 17" size but hopefully, those guys at Thule are listening...
* Clamshell deign allows use of your MacBook while in the case, perfect for ease of access. The exterior mat surface is non-slip to my fingertips and is easily maneuvered.
* An elastic cross band keeps the computer secure as you unzip your case to help prevent any accidental spills.
* Water resistant zipper and exterior shell provide some additional all-weather protection.
* 25 Year quality guarantee so if I eventually have a zipper issue, I'll keep my receipt and send it in for repair.
Simply, I like this case and recommend it highly. I also am comfortable highly recommending this case to parents of newly wired children who may be young to be fully careful or perhaps a little clumsy about transporting their MacBook around the house.
