Superior Engineering and Design
Thule snow chains are hand-made in Italy and are constructed of durable, hardened manganese nickel alloy steel. They feature dual-sided D-shaped links that provide exceptional traction and extend the life of the product. These snow chains utilize a patented self-centering and auto-tensioning system which adjusts itself for a perfect fit. Once the chains are wrapped around the tire, the installation process is completed when the vehicle is set in motion. As the wheels turn, the self-centering and auto-tensioning system activates and the chain tightens around the tire. This eliminates the need to exit your vehicle and brave the elements to re-adjust snow chains. For easier installation in the dark or during the day, all attachment points on the chains are color coded. These chains are easy on & off, and work great on my driveway (1+ mile long, uphill dirt & gravel road) in Upstate New York. Great traction in snow and or ice as well. Highly recommend. Also, they were ordered on one day and came the very next!

The first set I purchased based on the size chart, were too big. The manufacturer took them back and gave me a refund, but I wish I had returned them to Amazon instead. Then I ordered the next smaller size and test fit them and they are fine. Be sure to test fit yours as soon as you get them to make sure they fit.

The chains, when installed correctly, work pretty well. The inline part of the chain is not very effective. The chain material is not a good quality metal. If you have to use the chains for a long time they will wear out fairly quickly. I live in northern Wisconsin. For occasional use they work fine. Learn how to install the chains before you need to use them. They are tricky to put on if you have not practiced.
