If you like to read, you must have the Thumb Thing! Simply put the Thumb Thing on your thumb and pick up a book. The two wings will hold the pages open more easily than if you just used your hand, making reading more comfortable. Ideal for reading in bed, in the bath or at the beach. Since it allows you to read with one hand, it's great for commuters, especially if you have to read standing up. When you are finished reading, place the Thumb Thing in the top of the book as a bookmark. Thumb Things come in (thumb hole) size: small (1/2), medium (5/8), large (6/8) and extra-large (7/8). Small Thumb Thing should fit fingers with ring sizes of 3 to 6.5, Medium Thumb Thing - ring sizes 7 to 8.5, Large Thumb Thing - ring sizes 9 to 11.5 and Extra-Large Thumb Thing - ring sizes 12 and up. Thumb-Things color may vary.

Product description reads "Thumb-Things come in a pack of 12, assorted colors, all in the size you select" leading you to believe that "item" may refer to a package rather than a single item. They are $2.95 each, tho one could easily believe that a package could also be offered for the low price as they are just little pieces of molded plastic and may be offered for less than their full retail price. You will pay $2.95 plus a shipping charge well in excess of that amount to receive one small piece of plastic.

The product worked well, but a sizing chart would have helped (with ring sizing), other than a snug fit I found nothing too dis-satisfactory about the thumb-thing, I was forewarned it would crease the book some, but I was and continue to be, unconcerned about that.

The Thumb Thing fits the most random niche I have ever seen. Best part is, I constantly am in need of it! Who wants to hold both arms up in the air as they read by the pool, or what have you? I wish I would've thought of it myself. If this were sold at bookstores it would be an instant best seller!

Fits smaller than expected.
I love this product, so I ordered this one as a gift. It is smaller than I expected. I have extremely thin fingers and thumbs and the medium was almost too small.
