These two"holders" protect your fingers from being damaged while trying to hold small nails, brads, staples, screws and the like. You can also use these tools to "reach" spots that your fingers cannot, so starting the above items in tight areas is a much easier procedure... I made a prototype of this tool a few years ago but never got it made; I'm glad these folks did, so I could buy theirs... One improvement would be for the smaller tool to fit inside the larger tool saving some storage space.

I purchased this tool (ThumbSaver) just a short time ago but have already found several uses for it in the on going process of home maintenance. Since one can easily see from the write up what the tool is used for there is no need to explain the obvious so I will simply say that the tool does exactly what it was designed to do and does it well. If you have even an occasional nail or screw to drive I recommend the purchase of the ThumbSaver.

This is one of those tools that you wish you had invented yourself. I've hung several items and it made hanging things easer. It kept my hand out of danger and I like it. This is worth every cent I spent.

Great for holding nails in those hard to get places. Equally as great for using small nails that are hard to get a hold on. Great idea and great product.

This is the neatest nail holder I have ever used and I have a lot of them. It holds well while starting the nail and then releases easy. Very cool, everyone should have these. Darrell N. Dawson

I have been needing something like this for years. Makes those small nails or screws very easy to manipulate. Saves banging the thumb and not having to utter words that shock nearby sensitive ears. If you hang pictures or are generally using things around the house, a must have. I highly recommend this item.

I bought this for my husband, who was frustrated when putting up mesh fencing, always smashing his thumb when hammering in the staples. When I gave it to him, he gave me one of those arched eyebrows looks that said he was thoroughly skeptical. That was, until he went out and used it. He loves it! It really does work, and is perfect in this application. Would definitely recommend to other farmers and ranchers out there frustrated with banging their fingers. I'm sure this will also come in handy for things as mundane as hanging pictures and doing other home repairs. Yay! A gimmicky gadget that actually works!

The Thumbsaver TS001 Magnetic Nail Setter is one of those inventions that make you wonder why you didn't think of it. It's one of those tools that you don't need it until you NEED it - and then, nothing else will do. It's surprising how many little tasks are made simple by the Thumbsaver. Yes, it saves thumbs, but it also saves time and effort.

No matter what other people say,this is A great tool.I had to put down

a sub floor to install tile, and had to use 1" nails. Try to put in over 200 nails without hitting your fingers at least once.With this tool,NONE!
Its well worth the small price, you would pay that much for bandaids.

I purchased 4 of the thumb saver tool sets as Christmas presents. I have used the tool to hold a nail in place in out of the way places where it would be awkward to hold and then strike the nail. The tool works as advertised and the DIY network did a great job making me aware of the tool. I will continue to use the tools and avoid those painful hits to the fingers and thumb. For a home do-it-yourselfer the tool is great.
