This is a good pizza tray, however, I would suggest that you do not put it in the dishwasher because it destroys the finish.

I picked up the 15" and 14" of these for less than three bucks a piece. For the money they are great when on sale.
You do need to preheat them with the oven if you want to have a nice crispy crust. I haven't had problems with the finish on mine at all, but I hand wash all my dishes anyway(habit). They still look brand new/stain free. They make great little serving trays and what not too. In all honesty, you can just use a cookie sheet and get the same results. I always prefer a crispy crust and sometimes when in a rush, I'll cook a pizza directly on my oven racks and then just pull the rack out and slide the pizza onto a cookie sheet to cut/serve. You risk getting pizza bits all over your oven though. You can just use a preheated cookie sheet as well if you want to save a few bucks but these pans look more appealing. Cons: The only con is that these are aluminum and if you use a steel pizza cutter on them you can dent them/scratch them. You should be safe with a plastic cutter as long as you don't need too much downward force.

I don't know about other Pizza Trays, but the one I just got from THUNDER Group Pizza Tray is very strong and cannot be bend, I tried,(a little) This one is 18" and is HUGE
I just made my first Pizza with it, I stretched the dough on it and build it with all the toppings and put it in the Oven, few minutes before is done I remove the Tray and let the Pizza finish by itself, when is done I take the Tray and use it as a Pizza Peel, I slide it under the Pizza and move it to a wooden block or surface for cutting and also use it as a serving Tray I make BIG Pizzas and this Tray is what I was looking for, I might get another one this size. I do wash it by hand and I do not cut the Pizza on top of the Tray, so I will not scratch it,...you see, I read the reviews, I listen to you Folks! ...Check Pictures Posted of making a Pizza, Thank You

Don't expect anything heavy duty!,

This is very light weight and I don't expect it to wear well or last long. It was worth the $3 I paid but not much more for sure. Nothing like my other pizza pan (from Goodwill) which is heavy, un-bendable, and will last a lifetime.

Tray works great!,
This review is from: Thunder Group 9 Inch Wide Rim Pizza Tray (Kitchen)
The tray is great. I got two for us to use with homemade pizza. They look professional and with hardly any cooking spray, the pizza come right off with almost no problem, which is great when serving.

For $2.20 with Prime shipping, it was a great deal. As other reviewers mentioned, it did discolor after a trip through a dishwasher. But as long as that's only an aesthetic flaw and not a structural flaw, I'm ok with that. C'mon, people: it's a piece of metal used to cook pizza, not a piece of modern art.

Not exactly used for a pizza pan, but mounted to small plywood box, this works great as a "leave no trace" charcoal holder for dutch oven cooking. Used them quite a few times and glad I found them.

I got this yesterday, washed and left the back soaking so the sticker would come off.
This morning the back had a huge stain, looks like the water got into the pan or something. I scrubed again and when I was drying I noticed that more little stains were showing up. They state this is a hard pan, stands hard use etc... how come don't even stand washing?! I'm very dissappointed. |
