5.0 out of 5 stars This book changed my life.
As a sort of lukewarm Catholic for many years, I finally had my eyes opened to all of my failings when I read this book. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to every Catholic I know. Unfortunately, it does have the potential to offend if it isn't taken in the correct light. I too have purchased multiple copies to give away to the people I care about.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too sensationalist for my taste
While the encouragement this book provides to return to the sacraments and pray the rosary daily is something I'd never argue with, I was disappointed in the book nonetheless. First of all, they badly needed an editor - the same material is presented over and over, and they slip into a "National Enquirer" style that I found annoying. More importantly,...

First of all, they badly needed an editor - the same material is presented over and over, and they slip into a "National Enquirer" style that I found annoying. More importantly, "Thunder" relies far too heavily on unapproved private prophecy, and fails to adequately defend its position in light of Scripture and Tradition. For a far better work on the same subject, read Desmond Birch's "Trial, Tribulation, and Triumph". It's meticulously researched and relies on approved private prophecy only as an ancillary source.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Synthesis of Messages from Mary & the Saints, August 24, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Thunder of Justice: The Warning, the Miracle, the Chastisement, the Era of Peace (Paperback)
One of the most frightening and, paradoxically, comforting books I've ever read. The messages, whether from Mary, Jesus, Visionaries or the Saints, are skillfully weaved around the four major themes of the book for ultimate and devastating effect. I believe it would be impossible to delve into these pages without a deep sense of unease, but maybe even more hope.

Read at your own risk: but the risk is greater should you choose not to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most information packed book I ever read on the subject!, August 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Thunder of Justice: The Warning, the Miracle, the Chastisement, the Era of Peace (Paperback)
Simply put this has been the most informative book I have ever read on the subject of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary as well as the warnings that come along with her messages. A must read for anyone interested in Mary, the mother of God.

This book is amazing and powerful in describing what is going on in the world today. I would hope that everyone has an opportunity to read it and have the chance to make a change in their lives. I've given this book as a gift to several loved ones. I wish I could give everyone this book.

This book makes sense of the crazy world in which we live and is an inspiration to change our lives and live in accordance with God's commandments.

This book has helped to change my life and I am thankful to have been able to read it. Since I picked it up, I could not put it down since it was so captivating.

If you are thinking about getting this book, don't hesitate, you will not regret it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a credible book, November 26, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Thunder of Justice: The Warning, the Miracle, the Chastisement, the Era of Peace (Paperback)
The authors mention many "claimed" Marian apparitians, signs, messages etc. The Catholic Church however recognizes very very few such supposed supernatural events as being credible and having "messages" not in conflict with the church's teachings. The authors were not selective in the authoritative use of such numorous sighting to support their sweeping generalizations and conclusions. Unfortunately, this is the type of books that keeps people away from the Catholic faith and cast suspicion on it's teachings. Why do people persist in trying to predict the timing of the end of the earth as we know it? Christ said to be ready always because no one knows when the end will come except our Heavenly Father.

I did find this book useful in that it is a reference book for many of the Marian sightings

that Church representatives are studying or have looked at and either have passed judgement on or for which no decison has yet been reached. I also wish to say that this book does not shake my belief that Mary is the Mother of the Church and as such has appeared (such as at Fatima or Lourdes) with important spiritual messages for the faithful.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Reflection on the Signs of The Times, March 2, 1999
By
This review is from: The Thunder of Justice: The Warning, the Miracle, the Chastisement, the Era of Peace (Paperback)
Living in this world is like a man who has extremely poor vision. Everything is somewhat fuzzy and out of focus. The Thunder of Justice provides the occular lenses that make clear everything around us. While reading the text I began to see the hand of God in all that is ocurring and how much we are behaving like spoiled children. Thunder of Justice is life changing. I have read this book several times and will probably read it several more times.

I have bought many copies and have passed them on to others so that they too may see clearly the rising threat that our poor behavior is bringing upon the world. Ave Maria!

2.0 out of 5 stars This book isn't for you if you want Mary's REAL message!, July 5, 2000
By
This review is from: The Thunder of Justice: The Warning, the Miracle, the Chastisement, the Era of Peace (Paperback)
This was the first book I ever read on Marian apparitions. It almost turned me off to the real message of Mary. The book spends almost all its pages outlining horrible visions, i. e. destruction of the earth, three days of darkness with demons swirling all over the place, the Antichrist, and on and on and on until you're scared half out of your mind. Some of this stuff is so disheartening that I wondered, what exactly is the point they're trying to make? They spent too much time on these fatalistic visions and a lot of negativity instead of focusing on the real point: turn back to God and pray often. Read the Wayne Weible books on Medjugorje if you want to understand the true meaning behind Marian apparitions. His books were truly uplifting. These authors do nothing more than scare you and make you feel powerless to stop these nightmarish events. That's not the point of Mary coming here.

This review is from: The Thunder of Justice: The Warning, the Miracle, the Chastisement, the Era of Peace (Paperback)
A good book that is easy to understand on the major, church approved appritions of Mary the mother of Jesus in the 19th and 20th centuries. Leading to prophecies about the not too distant future which are disturbing yet hopeful that in the end of all the troubles humanity will know an era of peace.
