Review
"An epic and well-written historical novel. Highly recommended reading!" --USABookNews.com
"...Thunder and Storm: The Haverfield Incident" is a compelling page-turner that combines deftly portrayed characters, a gripping plot and meticulously researched historical details. Apart from being clear and crisp, the narrative also captures the exciting atmosphere aboard a naval ship. By interweaving Edgar Allan Poe's poems into the thought process of R.J., Rick Ainsworth adds an interesting touch to the narrative. This riveting book will appeal to fans of naval forces as well as a wider audience." --BookWire Review
"...Rick Ainsworth has written a book so powerful, beautifully written and evocative that I can only hope another will be forthcoming shortly. The characters are so well portrayed and the dialogue so authentic that the reader forgets they are not real people. R.J. Davis has a passion for poetry, which is incorporated into the story so deftly that I found myself re-reading portions and gaining an appreciation for Edgar Allan Poe that I had never expected. Anyone, man or woman, over the age of 17 is going to love this book, and it would be a shame if you let the opportunity to experience this new author pass you by." --Deidre Ontiveros, Las Vegas Tribune
