5.0 out of 5 stars Cool RC Car
It stinks that the other person didn't enjoy this. My 3 yr old son got this for a Christmas present and we just took it out of the box today. Totally cool! It lights up while doing flips, circles and more. This is definitely one of the craziest RC cars ever. The best thing is that the wheels are rubber so it bounces off everything! He loves it. I got on the web to...

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Toy
I am employed at a store that requires us to play with this product on a daily basis. In less than a month we have opened at least twelve new Thunder Tumblers with varying degrees of success. I am employed at a store that requires us to play with this product on a daily basis. In less than a month we have opened at least twelve new Thunder Tumblers with varying degrees of success. I would estimate that 1 in 5 actually works normally brand new out of the box. The other four may have bad wiring and work in short bursts or I had one where when I drove it into its first spin the back tire flew off and rolled about 50 feet before hitting a wall with a decent amount of force. Over all I feel this toy is unsuitable for anyone and could even be dangerous with parts that fly off randomly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Thunder DUD RC Car -- phhttttttt!, January 8, 2008

If you delight in disappointed children, multiple product returns, and general irritation, this is the RC car for you! Seriously...I exchanged / purchased these 3 times from 2 different retailers, and not one worked properly. The first one would drive forwards only, no tumble or light-up action, and would only do this much intermittently. The second moved about 1/8" when we test-drove it, then wouldn't do anything else...also, zero lights. The third followed in the predecessor's footsteps (leading further and further from customer satisfaction) and wouldn't do anything at all. We tried multiple sets of brand-new batteries (it comes w/ a 9V for the remote, but you supply the 4AA's...we replaced all) to no avail. I am really disappointed b/c this looked like the perfect rough-and-tumble RC car for my perfect rough-and-tumble little nephew.

Both my sons received one of these for Christmas and within 15 minutes of playing with it, a wheel broke off. We were able to get it to stay on temporarily, but then the other one came off! Fun toy, but not durable or well made!

I got on the web to see where they bought it so we could buy it for a birthday present. Definitely a unique and cool find!

1.0 out of 5 stars Christmas disappointment, December 29, 2009
This review is from: Thunder Tumbler Remote Controlled Car (Kitchen)
My son got this for Christmas and played with it for about fifteen minutes before the back wheel broke off. He was so sad because it was his favorite toy. They did take it back at JCpenny but couldn't get in anymore. My son is so sad.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work for me either, October 26, 2009
This review is from: Thunder Tumbler Remote Controlled Car (Kitchen)
I just bought one of these at a discount retailer and tried it out while my sons weren't home. It wouldn't do a thing. I tested the 4AA battery pack with a volt meter, got the expected voltage, so concluded there is something wrong with the car itself. Came to amazon to see what the reviews were like, and now I know why the discounter had so many available! Very glad a few people had success with it, but I plan on returning this one and won't bother with getting another one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Snaps like a twig- Save your money!, January 9, 2009
By
dooter (Albuquerque) - See all my reviews
We received three Thunder Tumbler RC cars for Christmas. Within 10 minutes one of them had two tires snap right off. A day or two later, the body of another one cracked right in half, and today (2 weeks after Christmas) the shell of the third has broken off. The motors all functioned fine on ours, but the plastic on all three snaps like thin brittle twigs. At least $90 down the drain. DO NOT BUY THESE if you're looking for a good RC car.

This is the best remote control car I've ever gotten. The two separate controls for the two powered wheels make it very maneuverable and easy to control. The way it lights up and flips over and keeps moving were a lot of fun for my kids. The only problem with it is that all of my kids want to play with it at the same time.

My son got this toy last night as a present, it stopped working within 15 minutes. Tried replaing the batteries. Not worth buying or replacing, looking for another brand.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fun but Doesn't Last, August 3, 2009
This review is from: Thunder Tumbler Remote Controlled Car (Kitchen)
We got two of these for Christmas presents for the kids. They are very fun. The boys were howling with excitement. But the cars broke easily. One is broken in half, and the other has a battery problem. If you want to give the kids a kick for a party or something, this would be a hit. But if you want something they can play with for many months, find something more durable.
