I got this buckle because I am Native to Arizona and have had alot of exposure to Native American culture and art. (That, and I'm a huge fan of Thunderbirds. I have a 2005 50th Anniversary Cashmere Retro-Bird...).

This buckle surprised me in terms of detail and quality. The enamel is strong and not likely at all to scratch or flake such as on other buckles of a similar price point. The pewter displays great attention to detail.

Alot of pride and skill went into the modeling of the mold from which it was cast.

You can give this buckle as a gift and feel confident that it will be well received.

As an asides, many believe the Thunderbird exists outside of Native American lore. Some say that it derives its name from the way it dives with such speed and pulls up so abruptly that it is said to resemble the sound of thunder.
