5.0 out of 5 stars About this CD (Informational), November 20, 2008

This review is from: Thunderbirds & Other Top 60's TV Themes, Vol. 2 (Audio CD)
I'm not sure if the reviewer from Florida received this disc. Maybe he got something similar. The CD I have is described as '30 Original Remastered Themes,' and Sequel Records is generally a top-notch label, featuring lots of classic songs from original artists and other music (from the Sixties, mostly). Tracks licensed from Castle Music Ltd.

Here's the track listing (with the performers):
1. Thunderbirds - Cyril Stapleton & the Eliminators
2. The Shake (Original version of 'The Avengers') - Laurie Johnson Orchestra
3. Old Ned (Steptoe & Son theme) - The Eagles
4. 2 Cars Cha-cha - John Warren (Strictempo) Orchestra
5. Peyton Place / Coronation Street - Bruce Forsyth
6. Where Are You Now (My Love) (Theme from 'It's Dark Outside') - Jackie Trent
7. The Big Beat (theme from 'Front Page Story') - Eric Delaney's Big Beat Six
8. Maverick - Terry Young
9. (Roll Along) Wagon Train - Robert Horton
10. Happy Joe (signature tune from 'Comedy Playhouse) - The Eagles
11. The Dick Powell Show - The Tony Hatch Orchestra
12. Birds (theme from 'Eurofashion '68') - The Tony Hatch Orchestra
13. The Ferret Song (from 'At Last the 1948 Show') - John Cleese & 1948 Show Choir
14. Aqua Marina (end theme from 'Stingray') - Gary Miller
15. The Mysterons Theme (from 'Captain Scarlet') - The Barry Gray Orchestra
16. Hi-Jacked (from 'Joe 90') - The Barry Gray Orchestra
17. Parker, Well Done! (spin-off from 'Thunderbirds') - The Barry Gray Orchestra
18. The Harry Lime Theme (Theme from 'The Third Man') - Big Ben Banjo Band
19. The Desperados (theme from 'The Desperate People') - The Eagles
20. Stranger On The Shore - The Eagles
21. Where Will You Be? (from 'Crossroads') - Sue Nicholls
22. Lunch Boxer (intor theme to 'Lunch Box') - Jerry Allen & His Trio
23. Mexico (Underneath The Sun In) (from 'Mexico Olympics') - Long John Baldry
24. Spying Tonight (spin-off from 'Hancock') - The Derek Scott Music
25. Andorra - Ron Grainer
26. Junk Shop (spin-off from 'Steptoe and Son') - Harry H. Corbett
27. The Saint - The Les Reed Brass
28. Robin Hood - Gary Miller
29. The Dark Island - The Alexander Brothers
30. Batman Theme - The Kinks

Hope this clears up any confusion!

1.0 out of 5 stars Lame attempt of recreating 60's themes, March 12, 2008
By

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Thunderbirds & Other Top 60's TV Themes, Vol. 2 (Audio CD)
When I first got this CD, I was excited. That lasted until I played it and started listening to the music. These are NOT the original themes but someone's lame interpretation of the theme music and a bad one at that.

Take for example the Thunderbirds theme, one of my favorites, it sounds nothing like the fast paced exciting original theme by Barry Gray.

Save your money and avoid this CD. Your ears will thank you.
