An excellent novelization of a screenplay.
Charters did a fantastic job on this novel that explores an FBI agent's assignment to cover violence on an Indian reservation. The characters are just as memorable as those in the movie, which starred Graham Greene and Sam Shepard. This is a book that will draw you in and keep you mesmerized.

Watch the Movie Instead
I bought this as it was written by Ann and Evan Maxwell (A.E. Maxwell, Elizabeth Lowell, Ann Maxwell, etc.). The movie, caught on T.V. with the "R" rated portions removed is much better.
