beautiful storm!,
This review is from: Thunderstorm in the Wilderness (Audio CD)
I have several thunderstorm CDs. I love storms. There is nothing more soothing, more exhilarating. To listen to rain on a tin roof or up in the hayloft, hear the thunder roll was something I adored. I could never grow tired of it. Some CD just don't capture the true sound. This one does. You hear rain on pavement, rising and falling. Sometimes is a nice soft pattern, other times near deafening downpour. The tree frogs chirping. Then lightning strikes and the thunder comes. Sometimes close, sometimes in the distance. Just like opening the windows and listening to a good storm. Very relaxing.

Thunderstorm in the Wilderness is a great relaxation CD, since it's really more wilderness than it is thunderstorm. The sounds, which range from running water/rain to many animals, are all very soothing as the storm rolls in.The storm on this album isn't very fearsome as far as storms go, so between loons, frogs, owls and other birds the sounds of nature take center stage for most of the album. This CD consists of one long track, about 51 minutes, which is mixed evenly enough that there aren't times where you'll be jolted by sudden changes in volume.

Thunderstorm In The Wilderness-Solitudes Dan Gibson,

This is one of the best thunderstorm cd's there is and it doesn't have music just nature sounds.Thunderstorm in the wilderness is basically a thunderstorm over a lake with all kinds of wild life. The thunder starts off distant but as it gets closer rain starts falling in the lake which is peaceful water hitting water. There are also some streams on this cd and you can hear Dan Gibson peddling his canew thru the lake. The wildlife consist of toads, frogs, birds, loons and owls. The owls sounds really errie. There are actually 2 storms on this cd.The first one eventually stops and you just hear the wildlife but than just when you think it's over it you hear distant thunder which gets louder again.Like some of the other viewers said don't turn the sound up too loud because the thunder gets loud in some parts of the cd.It's like the lightning hits something close by and it's loud enough to wake you up.Dan Gibson risked his life to get out on a lake during a thunderstorm and record this.He could have been hit by lightning but he wasn't and he put this great recording on a great sounding cd.The sound quality is awesome. Some other reviews said this wasn't real but it was.He really recorded this on a lake during a storm.I'm guessing his equipment was covered up with something to protect it.
