Book Description

This sexy, steamy contemporary romance will leave you yearning for more. Which is perfect since this is the first book in the Charistown series.* Even though this is a series, each book can be read as a stand alone novel.*l
Pain can leave even the strongest of people weak and hollow. But when fate brings two weak souls together, will the love they find mend the fragments that are barely holding them together, or will the weight of their past finally cause them to crumble? Max DeLucca has spent seven years trying to forget the betrayal of his past. He lives his life from day to day never looking forward and never looking back. The walls around his heart keep anyone from getting too close and prevent him from feeling too much…until he meets her. Her entire life, Janie Silver searched for the kind of love that wouldn’t leave her broken and more importantly, wouldn't leave her behind. She longs for a love that can heal the wounds of her past and give her the future she knows she deserves. She thought she was looking for something that just didn’t exist…until she meets him. Danny’s on Main is where their story begins. A neighborhood bar where strangers become friends, friends become family and some … become lovers … it all started on Thursday Nights

*Warning - this book is intended for mature audiences only. Descriptive sexual situations are included in this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Cheers" on Steroids May 31, 2013
By Louise
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Remember that friendly bar TV show (many, many years ago)Cheers? Well, this is Cheers on steroids.....actually it is a fascinating group of people who are broken and have decidedly left their blood families for one reason or another. Thursday Nights is about making your own family and all the good, bad and ugly that goes with it. Through it there are: hot men, gorgeous women, Sunday dinners, hot garage men, love, broken marriages, secrets and more secrets and well, you've got Thursday nights.

When I read this book, I was trying to get over the last book series I read "Undeniable" & "Unbeautifully" and this book brought me back to my ever book loving life. Yes! This book easily can be a stand alone & there is no cliffhanger. However, you'll come care about the characters as you get to know them, and in the end.....YOU know there will be another book about the next group of the self made family.........

Did not regret this book and definitely recommend it! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Max June 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book had two bada** alpha males and I loved it. first up is Sebastian Gage, "no reason to turn around, sweetheart. You know who I am. And everything else you need to know you can feel pulsing through your body right now. Enjoy your drink. I'll see you soon." Next up is Max DeLucca, "Janie, I love to hear the sounds you make. Knowing I'm the only man to ever get the real thing...God, you have no idea what that does to me." I know both Max and Lanie have crap to work out and this story is about them but in all honesty I was more interested in Lyla and Sebastian's story. I mean Sebastian is like protective, "I don't effing need it. I know you still feel some sort of loyalty to Kyle or...whatever. But Lyla...goddamn it." His nostrils flared. "She is mine." There was a little to much going on in the book and maybe should have focused more on Lanie and Max but I enjoyed it overall.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing just simply Amazing! May 10, 2013
By Tee
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase

First I would like to say that I could not put this book down and I am so glad I read it.I read it during this period where I was in a reading funk reading the same genre and needing something else. So I opened my e-mail to see that there was a cover reveal and a blog tour for this book. The minute I saw the cover I knew I would love the book. Once you have read the book you will see why the cover is such a perfect fit. God I have to say that I loved every minute of this book. Yes it has tortured souls and bad boys and bad girls with damaged hearts but at the crux of the story you get to see how even damaged souls need loving and if they allowed themselves to love again they can have a happy life.

Best friends Janie and Lyla have found a new hang out. Every Thursday they go to Danny's On Main which is a local bar. They drink and pick up men and have fun every Thursday night. They have become family to the owner of the bar and the bartenders who work there. Janie has even fallen in lust/love with one of the bartenders Max. He is every girls bad boy wet fantasy and he has stared in more than one of her dreams but Janie knows that Max is off limits. He is off limits because he tells women like it is they are an F and R and nothing more.

But one Thursday Max is listening to Janie tell her best friend about another disastrous date when he feels something in his gut. Yes protective of her and wanting nothing more than to bed her he is pissed that some guy could treat her wrong. But Max knows he could never ever give Janie what she needs because he is broken in more ways than one and he does not do relationships or love.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice storyline, needs editing May 11, 2013
By ZR1000
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book had a nice storyline and characters that I liked. It has potential but the need for editing is a serious detraction from the work. It is distracting for a reader to come upon errors and it stops the flow of the story for them. This book had incorrect use of tenses, transposition of words, missing words, words that don't belong, and miraculously only 1 spelling error. I took a chance on an unknown author looking to escape for an evening in a good book and I was disappointed. I like books with damaged characters as I find them truer to the reality of life, we all make mistakes and carry our traumas forward. It is how those pains are dealt with and resolved that makes for a good tale. This storyline definitely fits that bill. I hope this author takes the time to revise this work and post an update to readers that have already purchased it. If I see that done then maybe I'll give the next book a try otherwise I will pass in favor of authors who take more care before publishing.

Thursday Nights is a great debut novel for Lisa Paul. It is filled with provocative figures that you want to like and get to know. More than just a romance novel, the plot and character development lead you through complex internal struggles and personal history, highlighted with passion and lust. The relationship between Janie and Max builds with excitement and trepidation. Through their own ambiguilty you find yourself rooting for them to work it out. Thursday Nights shows that even the most damaged man can move beyond the hurt and pain and open his heart to love again. We need more guys like Max DeLucca in this world!

Thursday Nights was a fast easy read and leaves you wanting more!
Charistown is set to be a great series with good, interesting people, complicated lives and hot sex... looking forward to more from this author!
