Thursday's Child
This wonderful made for television movie has long been out of print. The quality of this DVD version is very disappointing. It seems it has been made from an old video copy. The color is poor and the video seems out of focus at times. This could not have been mastered from an original source. Too bad as this is a great movie.

The quality of the DVD is not very good even though the story is. I just would not recommend anyone to pay this much money for the quality of the DVD.

2.0 out of 5 stars "Thursday's Child" Has Far to Go, October 28, 2007

The talented Gena Rowlands is, as usual, compelling, and Don Murray, an underestimated old hand, is also worth watching; however, the quality of the tape (it's twenty some years old) is a detraction, as well as the under par writing. Interesting to see the young Rob Lowe, of course, in one of his first roles. It's clear he will have a future. With Hallmark, one expects the overly sentimental, but one also should be able to count on a bit better writing. The siblings of Mr. Lowe's characters are never drawn out, in fact for the first half, it's unclear who they are. The redeeming features are the three main characters. Sadly, not what I expected.
