5.0 out of 5 stars Creative gift for any Shakespeare lover!, July 19, 2000
By
This review is from: Thy Father Is a Gorbellied Codpiece: Create over 100,000 of Your Own Shakespearean Insults (Hardcover)
This is a creative and clever book that would be a perfect gift for a theatre lover. It's the kind of thing people would snap up at the gift shop at The Globe Theatre in London. The split pages allow you to put together almost any wacky combination, and they're a kick to read aloud.

4.0 out of 5 stars Make your own insults and enrich your vocabulary, September 1, 2008

This review is from: Thy Father Is a Gorbellied Codpiece: Create over 100,000 of Your Own Shakespearean Insults (Hardcover)
This book contains a wide variety of insulting words used in Shakespeare's plays. Each page is cut into three sections, so that you can change about and put together different combinations of words to make up your own insults. So for instance you can call someone a "concupiscible hell-governed foot-licker" or a "cuckoldly lily-livered geck" or possibly a "facinerious leptus-leering fustilarian". Or anything you like. There are some wonderfully rich insults in this book, which should be enjoyed by anyone with an interest in the english language, Shakepseare, the Elizabethan era, or just someone who wants to expand their vocabulary of insults.
